Reminder: Jews have real life time machines and want me to think that particle accelerators are time machines

Helloooooooo, it's me Satan/the devil again. Thought I would post another reminder about the jews having real life time machines which they have been showing off to me using their "media" (mostly).
Here's the documentary again, which I found on amazon primevideo after already coming to the conclusion that particle accelerators might actually be time machines.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0867212/
If particle accelerators are actually time machines, my mother may have actually received a tour of the large hadron collider, because she has been to both France and Switzerland during the same trip and my brother even lives in one of ze countries now. The official reason for her visit was to attend a "patent" conferance. 🤷‍♂️
Dialogue from the Ark Society level of Hitman 2 which mentions "patents" - https://streamable.com/chxs6p
"You see they are sitting on some patents that will knock your socks off."
"Weather control systems."
"Recycling pollution as fuel."
"Cold fusion. You name it."
Satan is naming their time machines too. 🤣
Anyway, she visited one of zose countries again (to visit my brother) and that too without telling me. I told her not to go because of the expensive plane tickets (she has been pretending to be "poor" all these years. well, not THAT poor. "middle class" poor. 🤣). I certainly considered the plane tickets expensive. It cost more than 1 lakh rupees (1,00,000) for a two way trip (which I considered to be a lot at that time). So if I would have gone too, it would have been more than 2 lakh rupees ( rupees are also jewish apparently ). Money that could have been spent on other things (jews have been emailing Satan recently with suggestions like "spend money on experiences, not things". 🤣). Of course, now I think money and the financial system is fake and designed exclusively for Satan but only YOU will know whether that is the case or not. 🤷‍♂️
Oh, and because she was planning on going without telling me, she even agreed to give me some "mummy money" (20,000 rupees) to buy some "pyramid scheme money" (bitcoin) which I then used to buy an antminer s1. Pretty neat pyramid scheme, huh? Has cool miners and everything. 🤣
Anyway because they have time machines, jews not only know what I am "sinking about" right now, but they also know what I will be "sinking about" in the future. 🤣 Check my previous posts and reminders about their mass surveillance tech if you don't know what I am talking about (once again assuming/pretending that everyone in the world doesn't already know who I am and already know about the existence of time machines and other advanced tech). 🤷‍♂️

Moar Satanic Rambling

I mentioned amazon above. They recently VERY actively participated in the "Q psyop" by showing the following riddle to Satan/me in a "riddle quiz" (or whatever you want to call it) that they had in the "fun zone" section of their app. Here's the riddle as I remember it.
"I usually follow Q. But not in QATAR. I come twice in queue. What letter am I?"
I bet they were hoping that I would correctly answer it, but I unintentionally answered it incorrectly as "E". Otherwise it was supposed to be "U". You know, "QU". "Q you". Calling me Q. Q from LGBTQ. 😐
Anyway, I didn't even look at the list of answers properly and had very quickly decided that the answer was "E" because in my mind I imagined the letters going from left to right (in a queue 🤣) and the answer would have been "E" in that case. The letter "E" would have been following "Q". By the way, there is no "E" in any of my real life names but there is one in "JEW". 🤣 Maybe that's why a jewess was pretending to be a bot and other jews were referring to her as EBOT in the Q research 8chan board (mentioned in one of my old posts). They were spelling "ABOT" as "EBOT". 🤣🤷‍♂️
I am also guessing that "QATAR" in the above riddle is supposed to mean something since it was in all caps. "Q a rat" maybe (country names are fake apparently, as I mentioned in my previous post)? Like the rat from the movie Ratatouille? 🤣 Even my mother was once mispronouncing Qatar as "Quatar", and I corrected her saying it's QAtar and not QUatar. But yes, once again, "QU" or "QUA" (Q you, A). 😐 Like I mentioned in my previous post, I now believe she is also a "psyop" participant and she continues to actively participate in the psyop.
Just recently she threw away a pack of masala powder just to make me angry. I had already started cooking when I realized that the pack was missing. At first I thought she may have just hidden it, so I searched everywhere but when I couldn't find it I realized she had mostly likely thrown it away. I am not talking to her at all right now (for obvious reasons 😐) but did manage to indicate that I was angry because of the missing masala powder (not that she didn't already know. it was part of the "plan". trust the plan. 🤣) and she eventually admitted that she had thrown it away, apparently because the pack was "completely open". There were long expired packs of various masala powders lying around (still are) that were actually "completely open" that she didn't bother to throw out but she threw away a brand new pack that I had bought. 🤷‍♂️
Should also mention that everytime I brought up the "psyop", her dialogue was something like, "Internet people are tricksing you-internet people are tricksing you". 🤣🤷‍♂️ "Internet people" are "tricksing" me apparently. 🤣 Well, I am translating but she was using the word "tricks". 🤷‍♂️
I believe I have also figured out what one of my real life names actually means. One is supposed to be calling me an "objectophile" (like "QU". "Objectophile U".) and the other one (the one in my birth certificate, ID cards, etc.) is supposed to mean something like "You are a fool/simpleton, devil". Any jew here willing to confirm? 🤣
Anyway, as jews already know, I think it's okay to be a fool/simpletion but not okay to be evil. Who goes to hell? A fool/simpleton or someone who is evil? <- "Q" style questions. 🤣
As I mentioned in my previous posts, I believe ALL jews are evil. Especially if all of them indeed know who I am and have been watching me all these years. 😐 Someone was even posting on 8chan saying something like, "we are not evil. promise...". Watch a compilation of everything you have done to Satan all these years if in doubt about the fact that you are evil. I am assuming you have recordings. Or did the jewesses who run the jew world delete them from the face of the Earth and are now claiming that some of the things that I have been "sinking" about never happened?
Other than that they have continued to do shit like male genital mutilation and abortions despite having time machines and knowing in advance that Satan will be anti-male genital mutilation and anti-abortion. Assuming that abortion is real of course. I haven't seen it with my own eyes after all (just like my mother says that she DOES NOT believe that god exists just because she hasn't seen god with her own eyes. heard the same thing from others. 🤣). I even remember someone posting pro-abortion shit in the 8chan Q research board. Something along the lines of "if you want to buy a gun, do it. your choice, pro-choice...". How about "if you want to do the apocalypse, do it. your choice pro-choice", hmmm? Besides, jewesses who have had abortions could have "chosen" to not have sex. If abortions are real, I am guessing there are many jewesses out there who have had abortions by the time they were 30.
Satan is 30 years old in his current human form and is a virgin. 🤣 Even the "Virgin" brand is referring to Satan. Yes? Also figured out recently that the "Coca Cola" brand is referring to Satan also. Bought an "(allocacoc)[https://www.allocacoc.com] powercube" and found the name odd initially but realized that it was Coca Cola spelled backwards with an extra "L" and knew it was supposed to mean something. Later saw one of those "coke and mentos" videos on youtube again and finally realized what it is supposed to mean. "Coca Cola" is supposed to be "A Cola Coc". "Cola" is supposed to be "কলা". It's supposed to be referring to Satan's dick. That's why there were those "muh dick-muh dick-muh dick" posts on the 8chan Q research board. Yes? 😐
Anyway, if the "Coca Cola" brand was indeed established in the year stated in wikipedia then it would seem that the jews have had time machines for the past 100 years at least.
I have also realized that "muh dick" is also partially mutilated and my mother lied to me about that also. Claimed to have taken me to the nurse because she noticed "pus" was coming out of my dick and the nurse did some "cutting". Said that there would have been "कष्ट" after marriage otherwise. Had no idea at the time what she was talking about, but perhaps she meant that a lesbian jewess might have found my unmutilated dick "ugly"? 🤣 Watch that "Nip/Tuck" episode#Episodes) and that "South Park" episode defending male genital mutilation if you have no idea what I am talking about.
What if jews force their senior citizen parents to get a face lift, nose job, liposuction, or whatever without anaesthesia? And say shit like "we are only doing it to make you look beautiful so that you don't have any "कष्ट" if you decide to get married/remarried or so that you are invited to more lemon parties"? 🤣 They can use their mind control tech to wipe the memory of the surgery afterwards if necessary (or use roofies if they are real 🤣). Can even invite people to witness the surgery and they can say "mazel tov", "oy vey", or whatever it is they say after a "bris".
Now, I don't know if "brises" are real because I haven't seen one with my own eyes. I have however seen a "fully mutilated" dick when I was a kid (3rd grade). It was in the school (a different school, not the one I mentioned in my previous post) bathroom which was just a "shed" with a drain in it (was the female bathroom also just a shed with a drain in it? There was even a South Park episode about school bathrooms but in their case the bathroom wasn't just a "shed" now, was it? 🤣). Anyway, I assumed that I had seen a catheter "wrapped" around his dick as I had heard about catheters by then but did not know what they looked like or how they worked. I asked the kid why his dick looked different assuming that he would confirm my theory that he was peeing using a catheter. But he replied saying that it's because he is "muslim". It was an odd explanation I thought, and even asked my mother that day and she didn't bother to explain it either.
Even after that incident I didn't know about "male genital mutilation" for years. But eventually "real time" told me. But even then I didn't know that even my dick was partially mutilated but "real time" has now told me about that too. 🤷‍♂️
Well, jews were also posting a "render" (I think) of an unmutilated dick on 8chan and someone on voat replied to a comment of mine saying something like "No one actually knows what an unmutilated dick looks like" which I only recently saw. Could have just said something like, "Your dick is mutilated too, Satan" but whatever. 🤷‍♂️

Video games

Already mentioned a video game above, but will be mentioning moar video games here under this heading. As I mentioned in my previous post, they are also using their time machines when making video games. I also mentioneded that I could be living in a simulation for all I know and you could all be NPCs. Later I remembered a video game that I didn't play just because the story/plot had "simulation" in it. I then checked out the plot again on wikipedia and noticed that it mentions "time travel" also. 🤣
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saints_Row_IV
The game's loyalty missions impact the ending of the story: if a number of these are not completed, the Boss makes plans for the Saints to take over more planets and expand their new empire; however, if all are completed, the Saints learn that they can restore Earth using time-travel, discovering that Zinyak captured several historical figures and placed them in suspended animation. The Boss soon discovers one of them to be 19th century writer Jane Austen, whom they are a fan of, and who reveals herself as the narrator of the game's story once she is awaken her from stasis.
There's also the following DLC where Satan is mentioned. 🤣
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saints_Row:_Gat_out_of_Hell
I have both the game and the DLC in my Steam library but have never played them. I bought them during a sale or something. They were being sold as a bundle (Humble Bundle maybe) but I was only interested in Saints Row The Third.
I should also mention The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game has some cannibal witches who eat kids (they ate grown ups too; they didn't discriminate. 🤣). And the witches were shown to possess "mass surveillance" capabilities, but they were using magic. They would nail human ears to trees or something. Satan chose to free that tree spirit the first time he played that mission but later noticed the tree spirit did not get rid of those "ladies" for some reason. Plot hole?
Anyway, I read right here on /conspiracy that jews apparently eat aborted babies. It was the "Robert David Steele AMA" I believe.
Were you jews hoping to tell me that you don't really eat aborted babies and I only believed it because I am gullible? There was even a South Park episode recently where there was the dialogue "well, we don't eat them...", but they were talking about cows. Were they actually talking about aborted babies? There was also the dialogue "...nobody wants to do it...". Nobody wants to do abortions but do them anyway because jewesses auto-magically get pregnant (like Satan used to think when he was a kid)? Also, there is a dialogue in a "Penny Dreadful") episode where a witch who does abortions and is called a "cut-wife" says something like "this village needs its cut-wife...". Why did the village need a "cut-wife"? Because the jewesses living there were auto-magically getting pregnant even though they didn't have sex? 🤔
Unforuntately for the jewesses who run the jew world (who are no doubt like those "ladies" of the wood), there are also stories like (Hansel and Gretel)[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hansel_and_Gretel]. Even my own mother used to try and scare me when I was a kid saying things like "juju buris (বুড়ি) kidnap kids in burlap sacks..." or something. 🤷‍♂️

TV Shows

Already mentioned TV Shows above, but will mention more here.
I recently remembered the cartoon "Pinky and the Brain" and realized they are also supposed to be depicting Satan. Check out the opening theme and the lyrics - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzZmU0aGmcc
They even show Saturn crashing into Earth during the part where they sing "by the dawning of the sun, they will take over the world". 🤣 There's also "to prove their mousey worth, they will overthrow the earth...". 🤣 Satan is dinky apparently. 🤷‍♂️
At the end of the opening theme there is even the name of an openly-jew jew mentioned ("Steven Spielberg"). If you are a "poor" jew who doesn't know about the existence of time machines and other advanced tech that "rich" jews have, maybe you can ask him what he knows.🤷‍♂️
Also mentioned in my previous posts that I am also supposed to be Jesus and there is this scene from an episode of The Simpsons - https://streamable.com/oumsad
The scene was actually censored when airing on a local TV channel and I even mentioned it to a desi jewess who was "sent" to chat with me. Looking at "muh chatlogs" is how I remembered that scene. 🤣
The jewess was trying to pretend to be psychic or something. She was even telling me about my future which I had totally forgotten about. I did remember that she asked me if I believe in "astral projection". I said no, so she dropped the subject. Otherwise I am guessing she would have claimed to be able to see me using "astral projection" and not because all jews are watching me like Truman from The Truman Show.
I also remember another jewess who was "sent" to chat with me and she was asking me if I had read Harry Potter and knew what a "prophecy" was. When I said yes and used "भविष्यवाणी " to define "prophecy" she dropped the subject. 🤣 She was claiming to be studying to be a psycho-logist and was repeatedly asking me "How do you feel-How do you feel". 🤣 I had no idea what she meant at the time, but now I know (thanks to "real time") that it's just something that psycho-logists say. 🤣 No doubt that was the first thing she learnt at "psycho-logy school". 🤣 Satan is a psycho apparently. 🤣🤷‍♂️
Oh yes, I was talking about The Simpsons. I remember seeing posts right here on /conspiracy speculating whether The Simpsons creators know about the existence of real life time machines because many episodes seem to depict future events. Well, no need to speculate any longer, they do have real life time machines. But it's not just The Simpsons creators. It's all jews. Be it Hollywood, Bollywood, Tollywood, etc. Maybe you can even ask them during comic-con or something if you are a "poor" jew and do not know about the existence of real life time machines.
I now also believe that the boat painting in The Simpsons living room is based on something that Satan painted not long after the shit stick incident. After the shit stick incident that I mentioned in my previous post, my mother agreed to reconnect our TV cable connection on the condition that I attend a religious summer school. That's where I painted a ship which was supposed to be like the ships from Assassins Creed Black Flag. It was supposed to be an art "class" but there was only one and they were like "paint whatever you want to paint". Were they expecting Satan to paint something Satanic? 🤣 I remember the kid next to me was painting an alien. Large sheet of paper but he was painting a small alien in the middle of it leaving the rest of the sheet blank. 🤷‍♂️
Anyway, in case of The Simpsons, the painting is that of "a boat" (wink-wink-nudge-nudge?) but it's very similar to the ship painting that I painted. If you really do not know about the existence of time machines and other advanced tech maybe you can even ask the creators of The Simpsons (in the next comic con or something). You can say something like "a conspiracy nut on /conspiracy claiming to be Satan was also claiming that you have real life time machines and the boat painting is based on something he painted at a religious summer school after a shit stick incident and that you got rid of the Apu character because he wanted The Simpsons cancelled because he got the impression that you were being anti-Trump and pro-Hillary...". 🤣🤷‍♂️
Anyway, there was even a kid at the above mentioned summer school who was pronouncing "cheat codes" incorrectly. He was pronouncing "cheat" as "kheat". Was he acting like the actors from Truman Show and reading his lines from an "eyephone" teleprompter? Or was it intentional? 🤷‍♂️ By the way, the downstairs neighbours' kids were also there in that summer school and they would have at least heard the shit stick incident. Yes? I believe they also knew about the "psyop" and could have told Satan but didn't. How are you jews trained to participate in the "psyop" anyway? Are you sen't to special "psyop schools"? 🤣🤷‍♂️
In one of my previous posts that was deleted by a mod, a jew had commented asking me whether I was a little girl because I had used so many "emojis", so let me mention the cartoon "The Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy" also. All three of the main characters are also supposed to be depicting Satan, including Mandy. Check out her devil horns like hairstyle. 🤣
There is also this song from the show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yui4zkZQwCA
It has the lyrics "if at first they think it's strange, they wont think twice once I've eaten their brains".
Jews thought that if Satan thinks all the evil shit they do is "strange", Satan wont think twice after they manage to figuratively eat his brain? They were also posting this image on 8chan. Yes, Satan has been "fucked by psyops" because physical wounds heal apparently. Not that jews haven't caused physical wounds also but they always end up healing. 🤣

Movies

Scene from the movie "My Favorite Martian" referring to Satan's zipper incident - https://streamable.com/n3e30i
Was four or five years old when it happened. The zipper of the shorts that I was wearing, got stuck on my partially mutilated foreskin. I was crying in pain even though there was no bleeding. Jews most likely have a recording of this incident also (if they haven't deleted). Later the same nurse who most likely mutilated my dick was telling me to wear underpants as if I could conjure them out of thin air.
I didn't wear underpants back then and didn't even for years after that incident. Now I wear "square" underpants, which is why there is "Spongebob Squarepants" (I am also supposed to be Patrick). 🤣
Anyway, jews know about the zipper incident too but are continuing to perform male genital mutilations anyway. Yes? Perhaps they are like, "another benefit of having a fully mutilated dick is that you don't have to worry about zipper issues". 🤣🤷‍♂️

Music

Jews are using their time machines even in the music they produce.
My motorcycle that I mentioned in my previous post was seized by the cops (I used to think that the local cops are useless but now I think that they are just fake) using "Coronavirus" as an excuse. And when recently looking at the details of the "Foghat" album "The Best of Foghat", I noticed the song with the title "Third Time Lucky (First Time I Was A Fool)". I have been to the cops twice to get back my seized motorcycle. First time I went was on April 1 (april fools day). I was planning on not going a third time and just let the fake cops keep my motorcycle. After all, they are jews, the motorcycle was made by jews and even the money I used to buy the motorcycle was "jew money". And I noticed that there is also the song with the title "Take It Or Leave It". 🤣 Oh, and now I see that there is also one with the title "Easy Money". 🤣
The name "Foghat" itself is most likely referring to how Satan's helmet gets foggy sometimes. Yes? 🤔🤷‍♂️
Anyway, wasn't able to pass much time with the bike anyway. It was only making me spend fake jew money on fake expensive fuel. Not to mention the trips to the service center. It needs servicing every three months apparently. So, I am thinking I will leave it with the fake cops. What do you jews think? Is it a good plan? Trust the plan? 🤔
Oh yes, the second time when I went to the cops, they gave me a phone number and asked me to call it (I didn't) and also gave me a fake name when I asked for one. Which I now think is supposed to mean "You are Satan, pal", kinda like that South Park episode about mormonism ("moronism"; Satan is a moron apparently; Amaron) where Cartman was like "My name is Yura, Yura Fag". 🤣 If yes, then here is a message for the fake cop who gave Satan the fake name, "Satan is not your pal, gal". 🤣
Yes, the second time the fake male cops were gone and there were only two jewesses. The male cops are in "isolation" apparently. 🤣 I was wondering if I should have shown them that clip from The Simpsons where Chief Wiggum says something like, "look at my badge. cash bribes only..." because most of them are fat or chubby. And because I used to think that all the local cops were good for was scaring and threatening people and asking for bribes. 🤣 The second time there was only one male cop (a gatekeeper or something, who got brave and was rude to Satan) and this time they made sure that it was not a fat one. 🤣 Anyway, I can make fun of the fake fat cops (many of whom have "pregnant" bellies. men and women are equal so men are also able to get pregnant. those cops were actually pregnant. yes? 🤣) just by "sinking" about it. How cool is that? 🤣
I also remember that South Park episode now where they were calling bikers "fags"). Original air date is 2009 whereas Satan bought his bike in 2019. So yes, you can ask them about the existence of real life time machines and other advanced tech also. 🤷‍♂️
Recently Satan has been passing the time "code monkeying". That's why the 8chan administrator is called "code monkey", yes? I have been playing with "CodeIgniter" and there is "psyopy" content even in the "CodeIgniter" documentation.
use CodeIgniter\Controller;
class Helloworld extends Controller { public function index() { echo 'Hello World!'; }
public function comment() { echo 'I am not flat!'; } }
Yeah, the world is not flat apparently but since I haven't seen it with my own eyes I probably should not believe that it's round. Yes? 🤣🤷‍♂️
Well it doesn't really matter if the world is round or "flat". What matters is that if everyone in the world knows me then unfortunately for you, you are all evil. And it's actually more unfortunate for you if you are not NPCs. You know what I am sayin'?
By the way, is Satan's "Mann ki Baat" being broadcast to everyone in the world uncensored or should he write down more of his "mann ki baat"? 🤔 Like how he has been "sinking" to Ubisoft whether the "apocalypse" comes under "everything is permitted". Feel free to comment here with your reply Ubisoft.
Mind-wiped Satan now thinks total apocalypse (get it? total apocalypse. kinda like total eclipse but apocalypse instead of eclipse) is necessary and since he is addicted to TV shows, movies, video games and the internet apparently (all jew media), it would be the unselfish thing to do (assuming it's up to him to do the apocalypse). Yes?
Satan has been trying to be "sober" though. No TV shows, movies or video games for the past two months. Did not renew his 100mbps internet connection either. Let's see how long the lockdown can continue. 🤣🤷‍♂️
It's Saturday and Satan managed to spend hours writing the above post. 🤣

Leads you to a comprehensive understanding of Forbes

https://preview.redd.it/1dra1br1xu351.png?width=740&format=png&auto=webp&s=925b38326cb8aa4f4b2863670ada61005ee72c4c
What is the hottest blockchain project in 2020?
Besides GFS, GFS is still GFS in my mind! GFS currency - the only token of Forbes cross chain blockchain!
Forbes is the latest generation of blockchain, which can be said to be a new blockchain mode, or it is not a pure blockchain project. As we all know, in the era of blockchain 1.0, the bitcoin of Nakamoto brings decentralized distributed bookkeeping book, which enables human beings to have just assets for the first time; in the era of 2.0, the Ethereum smart contract created by V God makes the blockchain have divergent applications; in the era of 3.0, innovation public chains such as EOS make the application of blockchain easier to land. It will open Forbes in the era of blockchain 4.0 and create a distributed financial era of "ten thousand chain interconnection". My feeling is that Forbes is going to overthrow the traditional Internet and the classic blockchain, and reshape a financial world built directly on the blockchain.
The most classic sentence on the Internet is: change your life, but it has nothing to do with you.
In this way, Forbes uses the philosophy of blockchain and further technology to redo blockchain and bring blockchain to a new dimension. Today's bitcoin looks like a monument and a myth, but Forbes is using its cross chain technology and financial deployment to gently reinterpret the blockchain.
Next, I will expand what you are concerned about and what I see in the form of Q & A:
1. Is it investment or speculation to participate in Forbes?
Although we do not exclude speculation, there is no doubt that participating in Forbes is one of the best investment behaviors in 2020, no less than investing in bitcoin in 2013 and Ethereum in 2016. Forbes is a pure technology project, with no messy black box operation. As Forbes early deployed the ore field to facilitate the construction of cross chain system, early users can rent the Forbes BTC miner loaded with self-developed bitcoin ASIC chips by way of mortgage, with the strongest configuration on the ground. Moreover, in the process of mining, the early nodes do not even need to pay a penny, only mortgage deposit can deploy the physical miner. The income obtained can also participate in the early stage node plan carried out by Dao organization, and part of the income can be converted into GFS through Forbes wallet.
And the deposit is not a routine, all the mortgage deposits will be locked in the chain. With the shortening of the lease term, each day will be returned to the user's wallet through the "deposit smart contract", without any centralized individual and organization participation in the whole process. In this way, it is equivalent to zero risk investment! After all, Forbes, with its cryptology and open source spirit, is inherently powerful. What Forbes wants to change is the life of centralization!
And then there's no more. Jane is not simple.
2. Why do you like Forbes?
Very simple, blockchain 4.0
First of all, let's not talk about anything. Forbes has solved a problem - mining hegemony.
In the past, blockchain seems that nodes can enter and leave freely, but in fact, it needs a huge threshold to become nodes and obtain mining rewards. Whether it's bitcoin, you need to buy very expensive and complex mining equipment (ASIC miner), or EOS, Tron and other POS projects, and you need to hold a large number of coins to be elected as nodes. All in all, most of the current blockchain systems need very high mining costs, which in essence violates the principle of zhongbencong's blockchain design.
The powerful thing about Forbes is that it creatively constructs dpoc as a consensus mechanism of trunk chain (main chain). Dpoc is a kind of common understanding of POC. There is no big deployment threshold for mining with hard disk miner. As a result of the consensus between Forbes blockchain Multi Chain Design and dpoc, all mining machines that do not have the relay chain node selected can pack the interaction information between the parallel chain and the relay chain, and can also obtain the block reward. In essence, such a design realizes Zhongben Cong's idea that everyone can dig. Let alone Forbes to build a mine pool, to build the strongest mining machine that can dig out the Forbes token GFS.
With this in mind, which blockchain product can match.
Layout of Forbes
The vision of Forbes: to build the most universal distributed financial system in the world, driven by Forbes, the most widely used cross chain system in the world.
I saw two key words: cross chain, distributed Finance
Cross chain is the most urgent problem in current blockchain ecology. In the past 10 years, various blockchain systems have been deepening in security and performance, but no progress has been made in chain and chain scalability. As you can see, the chain and the chain is an island. Can EOS players and wave players break the bond?
In the human financial life, transaction, loan, personal credit, supply chain finance, stock, commodity... They are directly full of interaction and connection. It can be said that human beings are dealing with all kinds of transactions all the time. Can the isolated blockchain really solve the problem?
Forbes is born to be a global distributed financial system and truly a financial ecosystem. Imagine what a change it would be if you could smoothly carry out blockchain financial activities with foreign small partners. This pattern is too big for me to say. But please believe that if this is done, it can be described as a complete disaster.

3. Is it better to mine or invite new people?
Since this is my experience interpretation, I think: invite, boldly invite new people. Every time you invite one, you add a certain amount of calculation power. It's good to mine in Buddhism, but if you can participate in the birth of a great project, you can get more profits. Why not?
Let's take a different perspective: now that you recognize Forbes, you recognize its value. Or you're not going to dig, are you! So, why can't we add more yards! Since we are trying to change our destiny, this is the highest lever. If it does, which lever can be bigger than Forbes!
So, invest money or energy, and do what you can.
4. Do I want to join the Forbes pool project?
Do you want to do it.
They all recognize the value, so they can download the application directly.
My original intention:
First of all, GFS coin is a new mining model - POC hard disk mining that "everyone can dig, everyone can benefit". It avoids pow (proof of work workload) which is a large power consumption mode. In the initial stage of the main network online, Forbes opened the mine pool plan, leasing the mine machine at zero cost, becoming the earliest node of blockchain 4.0 representing the project, and obtaining the maximum benefit. Why not? You know, GFS production is also halved in four years. To dig now is to dig bitcoin before 2013, without cost.
Secondly, in this stage, we can also increase the number of invited nodes. After the completion of the mining pool plan, we can only rely on hard indicators to increase the computing power. Now we can also rely on our efforts to get more profits. Therefore, in the face of equal opportunities for all, this is a great opportunity to take the initiative. Still hesitant?
5. Blockchain is my knowledge blind area. What can I do if I don't understand cross chain knowledge?
First of all, you have to ask you, this is the excuse you don't want to get wealth?
Not only Forbes is your knowledge blind area, but blockchain is a knowledge blind area for ordinary people. However, you should know that in 2020, the State advocates blockchain, the central bank DCEP has been put into trial operation, and blockchain has been applied in many aspects. Are you still in your blind spot?
Of course, it's not good to pull the national flag. Let's talk about something practical. Opportunity always appears in new things. Ask, what's the matter with you, a solidified model? You have money or connections. I believe that choice is more important than effort. A road, if we choose the wrong direction at the beginning, the harder we work, the farther away we are from our goal.
Therefore, the knowledge blind spot is not my problem, but whether you have a heart willing to contact new things!
Among the miners I know, there is a 67 year old elder brother who has been a soldier, a factory, a traditional businessman and a cell phone. Do you still have his blind spot?
6. Will Forbes succeed?
To be honest, I don't know. But I know that it is the blockchain project that I hope to reach the most in 2020. For details, please refer to the second question, why I like Forbes. If you really question Forbes, you can choose to only participate in the "miner Alliance Plan" and choose to mine at zero cost. No matter how the Forbes project progresses, you can get the benefit of mining without cost. Why not? Besides, when the Forbes project is really implemented, you can decide whether to invest in GFS. I'm sure you will have your own judgment at that time.
7. What is the most important thing to dig GFS?
Insist, insist, or insist.
We must make full use of our efforts in the earliest planning activities of the mine pool. After all, mining at zero cost + inviting to increase the calculation power and increase the support in the wet season. At this stage, we must dig more coins and exchange more for GFS. Maybe the reward coins you dig out in three months can't be found in a year after you try to buy hard disk mining machines for nodes.

8. There are so many people who rent mining machines first. Do I have a chance?
People die more than people, and goods are thrown away more than goods. Don't compare with others, just be yourself.
God said, I can fulfill your one wish, but I will give you twice as many neighbors.
You will choose 10 million positive choices,
Or one less arm in the dark?
Mining is like this. Those old miners are your neighbors. Dare to own 10 million good, do not think about neighbors than you 10 million. Is that right? And when there are 10000 GFS, do you still want someone to have 100 more than you?
9. How much is GFS worth?
To be honest, I don't know. The number of GFS is 21 million bitcoin, and the price of bitcoin is about 60000 yuan. The GFS main network has just been launched. In some markets, its price has increased more than 10 times in five days, far exceeding the price of bitcoin before the half reduction. The miners who rent mining machines in advance are blessed.
As for the future, with the start of the implementation of blockchain financial facilities this year, GFS must be just the beginning. Where is the top? We witnessed it together.
10. Which do I want, kusd or usdt?
For now, it doesn't matter which one you use. Although usdt has a lot of potential risks, there are still many people using it. However, we all know that it will have a thunderstorm sooner or later.
As a cross chain gold stable currency, when cross chain finance begins to integrate into public life, kusd will show its power, which is better than issuing a usdt once in a chain. Moreover, more than 95% of the value of each kusd is based on gold, which can be exchanged by major gold exchanges in the world. The stability of gold. Have you seen it clearly in this epidemic? This is beyond the dollar.

Building Ergo: Storage rent

We’ve designed Ergo with long-term economic sustainability in mind, and storage rent is one of the ways we’re ensuring miners stay profitable well into the future. One community member, Robert, describes this function as ‘on-chain garbage collection’ that reduces the problem of blockchain bloat – and even makes it profitable.
The 2020 block reward reduction will probably be the most important halving Bitcoin ever experiences. This is the point where the narrative of programmatic scarcity and digital gold will truly be proven, in the context of the sharpest economic downturn in living memory. In previous halvings, Bitcoin has still been in its infancy, a niche experiment. Future halvings will confirm the principle. But this one is the watershed.
Looking ahead, though, what happens in 20 or 30 years, when block rewards have fallen so far that miners have to rely on tx fees and potentially other sources of revenue? Will Bitcoin be sustainable? What will be the impact on the ecosystem?
The simple answer is that we don’t know.
Mining rewards are a key feature in maintaining the security of proof-of-work blockchains like Bitcoin and Ergo. And so, while we have deliberately kept many of Bitcoin’s tried and tested features, we have updated this one to give miners a boost when block rewards have fallen to zero.
Lost coins
Digital scarcity is an important feature of Ergo. Like Bitcoin, ERG are designed to be a finite resource and long-term store of value. We do not agree with the principle of infinite inflation.
And yet, this has to be balanced against the needs to pay miners to secure the blockchain and process transactions. Without adequate compensation for miners, there is no viable blockchain at all. Ergo approaches this by slowly recycling lost coins, in a feature we call ‘Storage rent’.
Studies suggest that as many as 4 million BTC may have been lost forever. These are coins that were mined in the early days of Bitcoin and stored on hard drives that were subsequently thrown away or destroyed because the owners forgot about them or thought they were worthless, as well as coins in addresses for which the private keys have been lost. (And, of course, there’s Satoshi’s estimated holdings of 1 million BTC, which may never move.)
Where coins have genuinely been permanently taken out of circulation in this way, it makes sense to have a mechanism to recover them and put them back into the blockchain economy. That way, we can preserve digital scarcity without unnecessarily accelerating it. In other words, by attempting to stick to the intended algorithmic supply for any given point in time.
Ergo’s halving schedule is faster than Bitcoin’s. Block rewards start at 75 ERG, and decrease steadily after the first two years. There is no ‘long tail’ of emission, and after eight years block rewards will fall to zero. After that, total supply will be fixed. The number of ERG in existence will never be more than 97,739,925.
Storage fees
From that point, however, miners will need further incentives to secure the network. Miners have ongoing costs in terms of bandwidth and storage, and in cases where coins are simply left for years, there is typically no charge for reflecting the value of securing them. The tx fee that is paid up-front in Bitcoin is the only charge ever made for storing those coins.
In Ergo, in addition to transaction fees, miners will also be able to collect storage rent fees on UTXOs that have not been moved for four years or more.
Fees will be deducted slowly, over time – the unmoved UTXOs will not simply be appropriated by miners. Anyone who wants to avoid this simply needs to move their balances once every four years, which is not an onerous requirement for helping incentivise miners and avoiding the deflationary consequences of lost coins. You can read more about how fees will be levied in this paper.
In this way, Ergo seeks to ensure a balance between maintaining digital scarcity, on the one hand, and giving miners long-term incentives to secure the blockchain, on the other – long past the point where new coins have ceased to be released.

Lost Bitcoins Are Gone, Answering the Tricky Questions About 'Lost Bitcoins'

What Happens to Lost Bitcoins?

The story of Bitcoin’s existence is exciting for many reasons, one such reason is that there are only 21 million bitcoins in existence. However, ever wondered what happens to those bitcoins which have been lost? Or perhaps, Bitcoins of a person who has died?
Essentially, these idle or unused bitcoins just stay on the blockchain until someone has access to its private key to use or move them to other bitcoin wallet address. However, the saddest part is that if you do not have the private key to these unused bitcoins, they are lost forever as there’s no way of analyzing the accessibility of these bitcoins.
Besides death, other reasons for losing bitcoin could be hardware failures or simply carelessness at some point. Let us remind you about James Howells, a Newport man who had lost the hard drive that contained 7500 bitcoins. He reportedly obtained these bitcoins in 2009 and left it in a drawer for years.
"When I found out what the price was, the penny dropped and I realized the coins I have 'mined' were on the drive I had thrown away, said Mr. Howells.”There was not a lot I could do.”

My wife (32F) is threatening to leave me if I (30M) don't get what she considers help for my depression. This isn't the first time she has threatened to leave me.

This is going to be a long post.
I met my wife online 8 years ago. We lived across the country from each other and kept a long distance relationship going well, and go the opportunity to see each other every few months for weeks at a time. We would fall asleep on Skype together every night, text each other throughout the day, and phone each other when we had time to talk or wanted to play games together. In 2013 after a year and a half of dating I asked her to marry me and she said yes.
I was overjoyed! I had spent my highschool years as the guy that everyone avoided because my mother had been sending me to therapy for over 10 years for issues that may have been real at the time of my childhood, but regressed as I grew into adulthood. I would routinely take a cocktail of 8 different medications in the morning and before bed, and my friends are the time would better describe me as a zombie over a functional human being. I had issues holding conversation, would regularly space out, could not perform sexually, and could not get good grades in college. After I got married to my wife, we got an apartment together, and I stopped my medication cold turkey of my own volition.
I was a new man, I no longer any of my previous issues and I felt free and full of life. I never resented my mother because she only had my best interests in mind, and was not doing sending me to therapy and keeping me medicated for her own peace of mind. My parents gave me a great life growing up and gave me everything I ever wanted, being from an upper class household, they bought me a brand new car for college, anything I wanted growing up, and would support me financially on almost anything I wanted within reason. My college was fully paid for and I went to one of the best private schools in the area while growing up. I had been to every continent in the world, visited tons of grand architecture and theme parks, and seen so many wonderful things, and I was looking forward to sharing that life with my new wife.
My wife did not have the upbringing I did. She was the second oldest of 6 children. Growing up, she did not get any luxury. From having to work a summer job to buy her own school supplies and clothes, to dealing with an elder brother that sexually assaulted her every month while her parents slept, to a junkie father that would work odd jobs only to get money to get high, and a mother that worked 3 jobs to keep a roof over her children's head, her child hood was not easy. Her parents got divorced when she was 17, after being together for 23 years. Her father never gave her any love despite her efforts, she would regularly make love notes and lunches for him growing up, only to find them crumpled up and thrown in the trash and never responded to. Her elder brother would force her to give him oral at least a few times a month from the age of 15-16 while everyone in the house was asleep. Her father left and had no contact with her since she was 19, only showing back up in her life for our wedding, just to disappear again. He hasn't spoken to her in 4 years now.
Before we got married, I flew out to meet her, and we packed up everything she owned and put it in her car. We drove 2900 miles across the US to move her into our house with my parents, and after we got married, my parents paid for us to get an apartment near their house. We were so happy! After we moved in together after getting married, we both were young, only 23 and 25. We worked fast food and don't have a lot of money, surviving on only a hundred dollars of food a month. But, because we were together, everything was ok.
Or so I thought. My wife has constantly struggled with insecurity since we got married. We made sure when we got married that we would keep our finances separate. She was a bad money manager and didn't want to "ruin me" like she had ruined herself. She would break down sometimes for no reason begging me not to leave her, and I have never done anything to make it seem like I was. My parents decided that since I had gotten married and was doing OK, they were going to give me part of my inheritance up front. I took this money to pay off all our debt, I paid off half her student loans, and I would take care of any issues that came up for her that she couldn't handle without complaint. She crashed her car, I helped her buy a new one, she couldn't pay a bill, no problem, I've got her covered. Anything she felt she couldn't handle, I was always right there to support her.
Near the end of our first year together, my wife for some reason had reached the end of her rope. If we didn't move out of the big city where she didn't have any friends or know how to get anywhere, she was going to leave me. It wasn't me, but she said was devastatingly homesick, and said she couldn't live here any longer. She had made a real home away from her parents at her college town, and her best friend of 6 years lived there, who had supported her through thick and thin. Despite my aversion to this at first, I could tell that moving back home where her best friend lived and what was familiar to her was important. After 2 weeks of talking about it, I agreed to move with her back to what she considered home. My parents were planning to move around this time as well, as they no longer had any children and we're looking to downsize their home. So, for her, I left my hometown of 25 years, and all my friends that I grew up with.
My parents gave me money for us to buy our first house, and another 30 thousand on top. My wife and I found a nice 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom single family home, and bought it outright with cash. Because there was money left over, we used that for moving costs, and I began searching for a job I knew I would enjoy, while living off the interest on my savings. We were working on having a child and I knew that a kid was going to be expensive, so I was trying to make sure we had the money to support our child, and I could still make my wife happy.
In 2015, 2 years after we moved into our house, my wife said she was going to leave me again. Despite her only ever needing to pay her bills (she had gotten herself into more credit card debt), despite her crashing another car and me paying a $5,000 down payment to buy her another new one (she had to get a loan out), despite me spending time with her every night and never going anywhere without her, taking her on trips and little date nights to make her happy, she was threatening to leave again. A month after her telling me this, my father passed away from early onset Alzheimer's. I was having a rough few months.
We were having trouble conceiving and she was having severe body confidence issues. She was convinced that before I left her for someone else, she was going to have to leave me. Since we had gotten married, she had gained over 100 pounds, and I had never made an issue about it, other than showing concern for her health (her family has a history of diabetes and heart disease). She said that despite me continuing to support her in all her hobbies (she likes dancing and volunteering at the pet shelter), me not having a job was stressing her out because she wasn't sure that I could keep helping her. Despite my reassurances, she believed that I was going to leave her for someone better, and that she needed to leave before I did. No re-assurance I gave her would stop her from believing that I was going to be gone the next time she came home from work.
She started self harming. When she was younger, she frequently thought that the reason that her mother was never around, her father left, her brother abused her, was all her fault. Hurting herself made her feel like she was being punished, and that her sins were being forgiven. Her church growing up was very abusive. They would make people stand up in front of the entire congregation and "confess" their sins in front of everyone. When she had premarital sex with her first boyfriend, she almost killed herself after when her mother found out and made her "confess" to the congregation. She hospitalized herself with a suicide attempt after this happened, and has never respected her mother since.
I called up our PCP and told her that my wife dseperately needed help. After an appointment, blood work, and a CT scan for the issues with concieving, she was diagnosed with Severe Depression, Insulin Resistance, and PCOS. She was put on medication and around this time I had found a job, so I told her that she could cut back on her hours and I would start helping her with her bills. We also started looking for a therapist for her. She started going to the therapist and she seemed a lot happier. We were having fun with friends again, and she felt like the happy, bubbly woman I married again.
In early 2016, we got great news! We were pregnant! Because I was making enough money at the time to pay her bills and mine, she was able to only work 20 hours a week through her pregnancy, and then her job gave her 6 months leave when the baby was due. While she was a few months along, she unfortunately got into another car accident, and so again, I helped her buy a new care, this time a minivan, because she wanted it for our kids. She was going to pay for it again, because she said she was tired of me paying for everything for her again. I have no issues with this as I never have, because whenever I try to pay for something, she doesn't let me.
When we had our child, I had saved up enough money to start my own business. Using the money I had saved, I started up a computer system building company, and servicing the local area, I was able to be home a lot more than working my job, and still make the same amount of money. The business started doing extremely well, and I hired a few employees and a friend of mine to work for me, letting me spend more time with my wife and newborn daughter.
Then, we started having problems again. My wife was in a lot of credit card debt from not managing her money ($30,000), and she had been hiding it from me. She was having issues breastfeeding our kid and would break down for hours at a time over not being able to do it. She was diagnosed with post-partum depression and started going to a different therapist. I wasn't making enough money for paying for our insurance, electrical, car payments, taxes and the credit card debt she had built up. I was upset, but it's extremely uncharacteristic for me to get mad about money, because I have always had money. I offered to use our house savings (we were saving up for a bigger house to have more kids) and pay off her debt again. She said no.
She decided she was going work full time again. I helped her get a debt consolidation loan for her cards, and she began working full time while I took care of our daughter.
This was in the beginning of 2017.
Towards the middle of 2017, our life was going great. My business had taken off, and I was making $10,000 dollars profit a month. I had gotten early in on cryptocurrency back in 2013, and was riding high on the bull run from Bitcoin. My company made crypto mining machines due to having a ton of stock from system building, and we were selling those for record amounts. My wife had cut down to part time because I could afford the extra to help her bills, and she could spend more time with me and our daughter. Things couldn't of been better.
Then in 2018, the crypto market crashed. My cryptocurrency that had been worth almost $500k crashed down to $60k of value in the span of a month and a half. I had to start selling it to pay off debt the company had taken on to expand, or else it was going to hurt me more. But I kept holding onto the majority of it.
I kept my business running, but things were winding down because the crypto run was over. We were operating on razor thin margins. In May of 2018, I stopped paying myself while still running the business to make sure I could keep paying my employees. I was still getting a stipend from investments every month in the amount of a few thousand, so I could afford to not pay myself. I was still taking care of my daughter, but my wife had to go back up to full time. I started looking for jobs, figuring with my 2 associates degrees and my master degree, I could get a good job easy.
In the beginning of 2019, I found out my wife had gotten another $25,000 of credit card debt she was hiding from me. She was eating out daily, bringing home for us to eat, and telling me she was making enough money to afford it. She was now up to almost $45,000 of debt, not including her car. I was upset. I told her she can't keep spending money like we have millions. My business wasn't going well, and we needed to cut back our spending so we can get a bigger house to have another kid like she wants. She broke down again.
She admitted she had a money management issue. She locked all her credit cards up in the house safe, and she agreed to only spend money off her debit card.
Then, the trade wars hit. Our stock account took a huge hit, and because I didn't have strong hands, I sold, at a loss of almost $55,000 dollars. Our stock brokerage trading account that had almost 70k of assets was only worth around $15k dollars. I no longer had the money to cover paying off my wife's debt in an emergency.
In April of 2019, we just received our income taxes, due to my losses from last year, and reduced income, we were due back a large amount. I had unfortunately cut down the business to only myself working for it, as the company still had debt that was used a few years ago to expand to pay off. I still have kept the business operating, unable to pay myself for close to a year now, having to sell crypto to cover bills when business wasn't good enough.
The first day of May, I took this money and put it back in the stock market, but due to weak hands again, I lost 60% of it again before the markets rebounded. The trade wars had taken a ton of my wealth again. Our brokerage account was now worth less than $10k, and I withdrew the rest to put it into my checking account.
Over the past 6 months, I've had to sell off all my remaining cryptocurrency. I have none left. I have to continue running my business in it's dilapidated state, only making enough to pay the bills at the end of the month. I have gotten down to my last $5,000 in cash, and my monthly inheritance stipend, barely pays the bills for the house.
All of the money my wife makes goes to paying off her credit card debt, her student loans, and her car payment. When she comes home, she sits down and plays video games while letting our 3 year old run wild and destroy the house while I sleep. We are trying to potty train, but that's not going well, and when I'm sleeping, our daughter will routinely use the bathroom on the floor then smear it on the walls. My wife will not always notice, and I will wake up having to clean up shit off the walls.
I have been breaking down nonstop. I cannot handle the level of stress I have been having. I have interviewed for 12 jobs in the past 6 months, and not gotten hired. I have applied to over 30. I have lost over $100k of our savings in the past year alone. I never get to see my wife because when she is working, I have to take care of our daughter, and when she gets home, I have to sleep so I can make sure I'm able to work while they are sleeping, because I am unable to work while they're both awake. I make it a priority to make sure I spend a few hours with my wife and daughter a day, so they have time with me.
My wife has not been a responsible adult for months now. She doesn't do her small part of the chores, which is simply do the laundry every week. Every week I take out the trash, clean up the yard, do all the dishes, cook dinner daily, vacuum the house daily, clean up my daughters shit and piss off the floor daily, clean up the mess that my daughter makes when she's playing. We recently found out my daughter is going to need speech therapy. Our house looks like a disaster zone. Our PCP said the speech therapist will come to our house to make it a more "secure environment" for our daughter to get help in. I'm terrified that we're going to get social services called for the state of our house and lose our daughter, but I physically cannot keep up with keeping it clean by myself, because every time I clean something, something else gets destroyed because my wife doesn't watch our daughter.
My wife will throw trash on the floor in the house. She won't pick up dishes. She won't clean up the toys or help our daughter do that when I'm sleeping. There is shit caked on the wall in the nursery because almost every day I can't find it all and clean it all up when my daughter is awake.
I cracked. I cursed at her for the first time in my life. She broke down, she said she's been so stressed and she's trying. I understand how it is to be stressed, I'm stressed too, but I said we need to try harder for our daughter. I told her I don't want to lose her.
Then 2 weeks ago, a text sent late. I'm sure everyone heard about the Verizon bug where texts got send late. You can read about it https://www.theverge.com/2019/11/7/20953422/text-messages-delayed-received-overnight-valentines-day-delay
I had an old text get sent that said "Do you still need me?"
My wife thought I was going to commit suicide.
She said that if I don't get help she's going to leave me and take our daughter with her. She didn't believe me when I showed her the text issue. She says I've been having depression issues for months, and that she's been asking me to get help. She said her therapist has been telling her for months that I need to go get help, and that the idea to threaten to leave me was her THERAPIST'S IDEA, because that threat has MOTIVATED ME BEFORE. This made me extremely upset. I tell her the same thing I did every time, unless they are going to give me a well paying job or hand me a million dollars, therapy is not going to help me.
But I need advice. I love my wife. I have no reason to leave her. In the almost 8 years we've been married, I've never told her I was going to leave her. I pointed this out to her, she still says she can't trust me when I tell her that. I told her why am I being punished for her insecurity. I have done nothing but try to give her a great life. Yes, we've been having a hard time with money for the past year, and I've been very frustrated, but all couples have issues throughout their relationships. She says she doesn't want our daughter growing up hearing her daddy talk about suicide and her maybe hear that.
I'm just trying to figure out how to handle this. I have friends telling me I should leave her. I don't see why I should. I love my wife. I would never leave her, and I feel like now she needs help again. She has gotten happier in person or at least it seems so, but her therapist telling her to threaten me to make me take action seems like a flag for her therapist. But she likes her therapist and likely wouldn't listen if I asked her to find a new one. I asked her to get therapy when she was severely depressed because she didn't seem like the woman I fell in love with anymore. Maybe part of her has come back, but the woman I fell in love with wouldn't be so irresponsible with our daughter, and wouldn't ignore her chores like she does.
I just don't know what to do. I'm scheduled to see our PCP in Janurary for depression, but I don't think it's going to go like she expects, and she hasn't set any expectations of what she's expecting me to get out of this. She says I'm not the man she married any more, but of course I'm not when I'm broke and at the end of my rope with trying to find a job. I feel like anyone would be frustrated and upset if they were in the same position as me. Every day I wake up, work for my failing business that doesn't pay me, take care of my toddler while my wife works, and never get to do anything fun with my family because we have no money and no one will hire me.
I just don't know what to do. I don't want to lose my wife. I have sacrificed so much for her. I want to make her happy. I want my daughter to not have a broken family like my wife had and grow up happy. After her threatening to leave me again, it feels like she doesn't need me anymore. It hurts me severely that she can say that so easily after everything I have done for her. I know she is stressed, and I feel like her saying she's going to leave me helps her cope somehow. I'm resenting her still seeing the same therapist, giving her advice on her home life off my wife's singular perspective. I just don't know what to think anymore.
I want to make the people I love happy.

Years of Searching: Found Bitcoin Wallet. Data File Missing. Possible Conspiracy?

I sold a lot of runescape gold for bitcoin back in 2010/2011 as a young teenager. I also did a bit of mining. I can't remember the exact amount, but I believe I had around 500 bitcoin in 2011. At the time, it was only worth a few hundred dollars, which was still a lot for me back then. It was my pride and joy. At some point in 2011, my harddrive corrupted and my computer was inaccessible. I paid a hundred or so dollars at best buy to get it fixed. They were unable to do so. I searched the internet for answers to no avail. My birthday came around and I got a new laptop. I kinda just called the old laptop a complete loss. In 2012 I moved off for college. I honesly wasn't even thinking about bitcoin that entire year. That was until my second semester in college, the tail end of 2012. Bitcoin was soaring. Word was getting around that it was at $10/btc. At the time, this was actually huge. A lot of people started cashing out here, believe it or not. It was at this time that I remembered the old laptop. The bitcoin I had was now worth around $5k. I still had no idea how to recover it, but I knew I needed to get that laptop when I went back home. I go home for the holidays and ask about it. My parents had cleaned up house and said they threw it away as they thought it was broken. I was heartbroken. As a broke college student, that $5k was gonna really come in handy. I basically signed that bitcoin off completely after that. It was confirmed trashed.
Fast forward a few years. Christmas 2017. Bitcoin is soaring out of control. Now at $15k/btc. Everyone is talking about it. It became a topic at the dinner table. I told everyone about how I once had 500 BTC but it was lost on an old, corrupted, laptop that was thrown away. My dad is fantasizing about how rich we'd be now. He was very frustrated at the idea of literally throwing it away. It was at this point my sister's husband says that my dad gave him a laptop amongst other old electronics back then and that he thinks he still has it. We literally ended the dinner right then and there as I demanded we drive to his house. We search all over to no avail. He thinks he might have actually thrown it away as well... The loss is felt all over again.
Fast forward. March 2020. Things really haven't worked out for me in life. I'm broke. I'm out of a job at the moment due to corona. Idk how I'm ever gonna get ahead. I have random nights where I beat myself up for not being smarter as a teen. Surely there was a simple solution to a corrupt harddrive. Why did I smoke so much damn weed? Why did my dad have to give it away? Why did my sister's husband have to throw it away? Whyyyyyyyy. My sister calls me. She says she found my laptop. Holy. Shit. I drive over and power it up at her house. It turns on flawlessly... Everything is there... All my files... No corrupt harddrive anymore... What the fuck... I open bitcoin. Error. I search through all the files. The wallet is missing. "Wallet.dat" is gone. "Wallet.cpp" and "wallet.h" are there, but not the data file. What the fuck is going on. There's no way my sister did anything, she is clueless with computers. Her husband is a web developer though... Maybe he fixed it and stole the wallet. Maybe that's why they've had a huge upgrade in their life in the past year... I ask my sister if her husband did anything and she says not that she knows of. Why would she tell me about it then? Surely she would know if her husband acquire millions in bitcoin? Was this her way of telling me without actually telling me? She knows I've fallen on tough times. Does she feel guilty? I confront her husband and he has no idea what I'm talking about. I feel like I'm acting crazy now. Was I hacked in the past and had my wallet stolen? Did the best buy person steal it? I seriously think it was her husband. As far as I know, he still works the same job, but they've bought a huge house, multiple cars, and lived a lavish lifestyle all in the past year.
I'm losing my mind here. My sister acts clueless. I feel like a crazy horrible person to even accuse them of doing that, but here I am... seriously questioning them now. I just don't know what to do from here. Do I call the police? I don't even know if I technically owned that bitcoin. I'm just so confused by everything right now. If her husband found the laptop in 2017 and cashed out, he would have made at least $7 million. That's enough to make ANYONE turn slimy. Hell, part of me doesn't even blame him. I just want to know what the fuck happened. It is driving me absolutely insane.
Does anyone have any advice here? And if, by chance, said husband reads this, if you stole the btc just give me some sign to ease my mind. Anything. I just want to know. If you didn't steal it, I'm sincerely sorry, but I hope you understand why I would accuse you.

Why Runelite's GPU renderer is one of the most important improvements to OSRS ever.

In a world of "gameplay versus graphics", a GPU renderer improves both

Not only does this new GPU renderer improve game responsiveness and framerate by a huge amount, but it's going to be so radically more efficient that it can afford to have longer draw distances. Not just this, but these distant map tiles will be clickable! Very exciting - every single task, skill, and activity will be smoother and more enjoyable.
Disclaimer: This language and information has been simplified for average gamers. Go away, sweaty "AKTHUALLY" brainlets.

OSRS currently uses a CPU renderer straight out of 2003

It's really REALLY bad! At least, by modern standards. It could not be more opposite to what modern computers pursue. It's not Jagex's fault, it's just old... Very VERY old! It's a huge undertaking, and Jagex has been too busy knocking mobile absolutely out of the park, and I'd do the same if I were them - so don't think this is some kind of rag on Jagex. Anyways, some may be surprised that this renderer is still managing to hurt computers today. How can software first written in 2003-2004 (FOR COMPUTERS OF THAT ERA) be laggy and stuttery on computers today? The answer is simple: resizable mode, and individual CPU core speed.
Resizable mode takes a game window that used to be 765x503 (the majority of which used to be a fixed GUI canvas, but not with the new mode!) and renders it at resolutions as high as 3840x2160, maybe even higher. Do you know how many pixels that is? Over 8 million. Do you know how many pixels the original renderer was designed to expect? Just under 390,000. That's over 21x the work being thrown at modern CPUs. Cores aren't anywhere near 21x faster than they were at the close of the single-core era, which is why players with 4k monitors need to see therapists after long play sessions.
Surely CPUs have gotten faster since the mid 2000s! They have, but not quite in the way that a single-threaded(single core) CPU renderer would expect... CPU manufacturers have been focusing on power draw, temperatures, core count, and special architectural improvements like GPU integration and controller integration. Comparatively, improving individual core speed hasn't been as much of a focus as it had been prior to the multi-core era -and no, I'm not talking about the useless gigahertz(TM) meme measurement, I'm talking about actual overall work done by the core. As a result, the CPUs we have today have developed down a much different path than what this CPU renderer would benefit from. Not nearly the amount that resizable mode demands. Especially considering these CPU cores were designed to assume that things didn't pile all their work onto just one core.
We're throwing over 21x the work at CPUs that, in most cases, have only been getting 5-15% faster per-core performance every year.

What is a "frame"?

Think of a frame as a painting. Your GPU renderer (or CPU cough cough) is responsible for using your GPU to paint an empty canvas, and turn it into a beautiful and complete picture. First, it draws the skybox(if there is one, it's gonna just fill with black in the case of OSRS). Then, it draws all the visible geometry from back to front, with all the lighting and effects. Then, it draws the GUI elements over the top. It does everything, one pixel at a time. Its job is to draw these paintings as quickly as possible (ideally, so you perceive movement) and present them to your monitor, one at a time, forever... until you close the game. Think of a GPU renderer as a talented artist with hundreds of arms (GPU cores).
If your GPU is able to paint this picture in 16.6 milliseconds (frame time measurements are always in milliseconds), then you'll have a frame rate of 60 frames per second, as 1000 ms / 16.6 is 60. Sometimes your renderer struggles, though. Sometimes it can only complete a frame in 100 milliseconds (10FPS). You can't wave a magic want when this happens. If you want a higher framerate, you need to either update your hardware, or change your software. By change software, I mean either make it more efficient at the work it's told to do, or give it less work. RuneLite has done the former. An example of the latter would be lowering resolution, turning graphical details down, turning off filtering, etc. Games usually call this set of controls the "Graphics settings". Luckily, OSRS is so lightweight it will likely never need a graphics settings menu.
(Think of a CPU renderer as a painter with no artistic ability and, in the case of quad core, four arms...but he's only allowed to paint with one, while the other 3 sit idle. Also, he has to constantly stop painting to return to his normal duties! No fun! The CPU is better off at its own desk, letting the GPU handle the painting.)

A GPU renderer improves frame rates

Not that this matters currently, as the game is capped at 50FPS anyways... but it's still going to be huge for low-end systems or high-end systems with high res monitors. There's also the future, though... Once a GPU renderer is out, it could be possible that they could someday uncap the framerate (which, according to mod atlas, is only the character's camera as all animations are 2FPS anyways).
I expect that an update like this will make fixed mode a solid 50FPS on literally everything capable of executing the game. Fixed mode was already easy to run on everything except for old netbooks and Windows Vista desktops, so this really wouldn't be a surprise.

A GPU renderer improves frame times

Frame times are just as important as frame rates. Your frame rate is how many frames are drawn over the course of a second. But, as described previously, each "painting" is done individually. Sometimes the painter takes longer to do something! What if there's a glowing projectile flying past the camera, or something else momentary that's intensive? The painter has to take the time to paint that, resulting in a handful of frames over the course of that second taking much more time than the others. When your frame rate is high and frame times are consistent, this is perceived as incredibly smooth motion.
Ideally, all of our frames are completed in the same amount of time, but this isn't the case. Sometimes "distractions" will come up, and cause the painter to devote an extra 10-20ms to it before returning to the rest of the painting. In bad scenarios, this actually becomes visible, and is referred to as micro stutter. Having a dedicated GPU renderer doing the work ensures this is very uncommon. A GPU has hundreds or thousands of cores. If some get distracted, others reach out and pick up the workload. Everything is smooth, distributed, and uninterrupted.
You may recall Mod Atlas talking about frame times when he posted about his GPU renderer last year: https://twitter.com/JagexAtlas/status/868131325114552321
Notice the part where he says it takes 25+ms on the CPU, but only takes 4-5ms on the GPU! That's 200-250 frames per second, if the framerate were uncapped! Also, side note: Just because a frame is completed in 1ms doesn't always mean your framerate will be 1000FPS. If your framerate is capped, then the painter will sit and wait after completing and presenting a frame until it's time to start painting again. This is why capping your framerate can be good for power usage, as demonstrated on mobile! Your GPU can't suck up your battery if it's asleep 90% of the time!

A GPU renderer is more efficient

Instead of piling all computational workloads and graphical workloads onto one single CPU core (rest in peace 8+ core users), a GPU renderer takes graphical work off the CPU and does it itself. I'd estimate the majority of all the work was graphical, so this will make a pretty noticeable difference in performance, especially on older systems. Before, having OSRS open while using other software would have a noticeable performance impact on everything. Especially on older computers. Not anymore! CPUs will run cooler, software will run better, and your computer may even use less power overall, since GPUs are much better at efficient graphical work than CPUs are!

All computers are already equipped to run this very VERY well

Most of the computers we have today are designed with two things: a good GPU, and an okay CPU. This isn't 2003 anymore. GPUs have made their way into everything, and they're prioritized over CPUs. They're not used just for games anymore, entire operating systems rely on them not just for animations and graphical effects, but entire computing tasks. GPUs are responsible for everything from facial recognition to Bitcoin mining these days. Not having a good one in your computer will leave you with a pretty frustrating experience - which is why every manufacturer makes sure you have one. Now, thanks to RuneLite, these will no longer be sitting idle while your poor CPU burns itself alive.

This new GPU renderer will make OSRS run much better on low end systems

Low end systems are notorious for having garbage like Intel Atom or Celeron in them. Their GPU is alright, but the CPU is absolutely terrible. Using the GPU will give them a boost from 5-15FPS in fixed mode, to around 50. At least, assuming they were made after the GPGPU revolution around 2010.

This new GPU renderer will make OSRS run much better on high end systems

High end systems tend to have huge GPUs and huge monitors. Right now, your GPU is asleep while your 4k monitor brings the current CPU renderer to its knees, on the verge of committing sudoku. Letting your GPU take on all that work will make your big and beautiful monitor handle OSRS without lag or stutter.

This new GPU renderer will open the possibility of plugins that build on top of it

One that comes to mind is a 2x/3x/4x GUI scaler. Scaling things in a graphics API is much easier than scaling it in some convoluded custom CPU renderer that was first designed to run in Internet Explorer 5.

It's easier to customize graphical variables in a GPU renderer than it is a glitchy old CPU renderer

Want night time? Change the light intensity. Want cel-shaded comic book appearance for some stupid reason? It's easy. Want to hit 60FPS on a Raspberry Pi? Change your render distance to 2 tiles. Now that the graphical work has been offloaded to a graphics API that's been literally designed to easily modify these things, the sky is the limit. See my past posts on this topic:
Big round of applause for the RuneLite team, and Jagex for allowing them to continue development. Without RuneLite, OSRS would be half the game it is today. Here's to their continued success, with or without Jagex integrating their code into the main game!

My 5 year high school reunion is going to end in a massacre. (Finale)

Part one
Part two
Part three
Alright, this is my final update. By now, the reunion is over. The fact that I'm writing this kind of gives away that much, and it also gives away the results. If that’s all you needed to get from this, feel free to click out now. But if you want to see how it went, and get all the same answers I did, keep reading.
So last time, I was holed up in the cafeteria. I had accumulated a decent arsenal of weapons, and was temporarily safe. I decided to take the suspenders off and wrap them around my waist, giving me more room to hold weapons. I readjusted everything, sliding the paper cutter into the new belt, rebar slung over the back, knife tucked into the other side of the belt, extinguisher in my hands. I needed to be on the lookout for a new one, as using it for the foam really lessened the weight.
By the time I was ready to move out, 9 o’clock had rolled around. Sure enough, the intercom crackled to life, and the smooth voice of the MC rolled over.
“Well, what an update we have here! Lucas, Lucas, Lucas. I have to say, my employer thought you would be a weak link, but clearly you proved all of us wrong. I’m very impressed, and I’m sure he is too. As for the rest of you, I’m quite disappointed. Far more of you are just sitting on your asses, twiddling your thumbs and hiding, while those of you like Dahlia and Lucas do all the work.”
“The body count for the last hour is 28, an impressive jump from the hour previous. Lucas took out 3, wounding a fourth badly enough that Dahlia finished him off to put him out of his misery. Really Lucas? Stabbing a man in the penis? Part of me is impressed by your willingness to do anything to survive, the other part of me feels secondhand dick sympathy for the poor bastard. Anyway, Dahlia killed 3, including the mercy kill. Her gang, not counting her numbers, killed 9. Not bad. Some other notable ones include Rachel Geller taking out Monica Bing with a dumbbell. But Rachel got killed by Lucas after, so it’s not that impressive, all things considered.”
“Faith Calisto has apparently taken refuge in the catwalks above the stage in the auditorium, and has taken to dropping weights and lights onto anyone who ventures onto the stage, so be careful about that everyone, she’s already killed 5 people, and I don’t condone camping as a legitimate strategy.”
“The other 8 kills are largely unremarkable, except for Ty Green taking out 2 men with nothing but a football helmet. That takes some skills, so good job there Ty.”
“Now, for the news. Even with the increased number of deaths, 32 of you remain. Now, I did say at the beginning that whoever is the last man standing would be the winner, but some of you think that meant to sit in a bathroom stall for three hours. South wing ladies room, looking at you. Well, to circumvent those of you who aren’t playing as intended, the rules have changed. The person with the highest kill count at the end of this hour is the winner. Anyone left alive at the end of the hour will be tracked down and dealt with by my men, and they aren’t friendly. The current leaderboard is Lucas, with 5 kills. Faith is tied, with 5. Then Dahlia, with 4. Macy Evans, 3. Graydon Pierce, 3. Kyle Kimball, 2. Ty Green, 2. Patty Whitfield, 1. Jose Villareal, 1. And finally, Hannah Dubois, 1. Yes, that doesn’t add up to the total number of dead. I chose to exclude killers who are already dead, because what’s the point of including them? They aren’t going to win, that’s for sure. Well, I’ve been chatting long enough. I’ll be seeing one of you in an hour, and my employer will be with me. Good luck everyone. May the fiercest predator win.”
And with that, he went silent. Jesus, I thought Macbeth was long-winded. At least the bastard didn’t give away where I was this time. That being said, I think I have more questions than answers at this point. Who’s this employer? Who are all the people he named with kills? Where is everyone else? And most importantly, where’s Dahlia?
I’m still not sure if I wanted to know where she was so I could kill her or avoid her. But it didn’t matter at that moment, because other people had stumbled into the cafeteria.
They weren’t in the kitchen, just the dining area. But that was close enough that I knew how this was going to end. I could hear them talking to each other about needing to watch for other people, about how they would both get out of this somehow. I wish I could hold their optimism, but I already knew that only the strongest person would get out of this. And I also knew that neither of these bastards were stronger than me.
Their voices moved towards the kitchen door, and I hid behind one of the ovens on the other side. The things were huge, they had to be, to feed a few hundred kids at a time. The pair entered, still talking. I couldn’t tell if they were just too stupid to keep quiet, or if they didn’t care. Regardless, both of them were both small, smaller than me. Guy and a girl, each of them short and skinny. Each armed with half of a broken broomstick. Easy prey.
As they approached the ovens, I slowly pulled the rebar out of it’s makeshift sheath. When the voices were within 10 feet, I jumped up and hurled the spear. It caught the woman between her breasts, and a red stain blossomed on her silver dress. The man screamed and tried to turn to run, but tripped over the corner of a second oven. I was on him in a second, knife in hand, ready to make my total seven. But the bastard swung his broomstick and caught me across the gut with a shallow slash. I held back a scream, compromised with a pained grunt, and slashed the man’s wrist. He dropped the weapon and screamed.
For making me work, I decided I wasn’t going to make things easy for him. I grabbed him by his shirt collar and hoisted him up to his feet. He couldn’t have been more than 5’4” and maybe 115 pounds. I threw open the oven door with one hand, and he realized what I was going to do. He tried to bat me away, but I dropped the knife and slammed his head into the side of the oven. Once he was dazed, I grabbed him and threw him inside. He tried to stick his foot out to block the door, but I drew my paper cutter and hacked halfway through his ankle. He screamed again and pulled his foot in, and I slammed the door shut. He kept screaming, but I couldn’t be bothered to listen. I locked the door with the safety latch and cranked the temperature knob.
The oven roared to life, and the screams got louder. I was too busy recollecting my equipment to hear much, and I finished off the girl with a second stab from the spear. Seven is a respectable number, I think. Not enough though. Dahlia was going to be working her total too.
I turned off the lights as I left the kitchen. If anyone else thinks about going in there, maybe the smell of burning people would be enough to deter them.
I turned down the hallway towards the theater, but decided against going in. Faith was always gifted with theater tech, and we worked together on pretty much every show back then. If she wanted to fuck with people, she’d know how. Better to let her get flushed out by the MC’s men and take her down once she’s out of her element.
The hall split off here. Left to the metal shop and woodshop, right to the south wing. I remembered MC saying something about the restrooms here being occupied, so I decided to go that way.
As soon as I turned the corner, I saw a man in a slick emerald green suit, holding a sports trophy that dripped with blood, standing over a woman’s twitching body. He lifted the trophy over his head, but I dropped the fork I had taken along with me, and he turned to look before he struck her. When he turned, I recognized him as Jose. He was a star pitcher back in the day, although I guess he turned into more of a batter tonight. I approached him and he tried to swing the trophy at me, but I easily sidestepped him and smacked him in the head with the extinguisher. He fell to a knee, and I set the extinguisher down and pulled out the knife. As he looked up at me, I brought the knife down into his left eye. He screamed, just like everyone else, but as I twisted the knife he fell silent. I withdrew the blade, and he fell. I turned to the woman, and luckily for me, she was still breathing. I pulled her down the hallway to the ladies room with one hand, carrying the extinguisher with the other, and used it to knock on the door.
“Please just go away.”
Oh, that wasn’t going to happen. I threw the door open and saw a tall, skinny woman standing there. Noel, I think? I smiled and waved at her, and pulled the woman from the hall partway through the door. I opened it wider, and slammed it on her head. This went on for some time. The woman never made a sound, but the same could not be said for Noel.
Once the woman’s head resembled an overripe tomato thrown at a shitty comic, I entered the room. Noel didn’t have any way to defend herself, apparently. By now, the weapons made things too easy for me. It was far more satisfying to do things barehanded.
That’s why I grabbed Noel’s flowy blonde hair, and slammed her head against the sink. The screaming stopped around slam 6, she fell to he knees around swing 9. I dragged her into a stall and left her facedown in a toilet after that. Using the weapons I’d accumulated didn’t give me the same rush that I was getting otherwise. And to think that I didn’t want to kill before all this started. Shit, this felt better than the good acid trips from my junior year at university.
Up to nine now. Double digits was sure to be a good feeling too. I left the girl’s bathroom and went into the men’s, but it looked like someone had beat me there. There was a person in there, but the lack of blood in them, and the excess of it on the floor and walls, suggested he wouldn’t be my tenth. Tragic.
Leaving the bathroom, I caught a fleeting glimpse of someone turning the next corner. They looked to be heading to the east wing, which was a hall or two away from the gym. I still wanted to track down Dahlia.
As I followed around the corner, I saw Macy, the girl with a drill from earlier. She looked to be still alive, but was standing, unmoving, in the middle of a pile of corpses. At least 4, but some were torn up badly enough it was hard to tell. One looked to be the guy with the sawblade pipe, which made me think maybe Macy turned on Dahlia and her gang, but Dahlia’s body was nowhere to be seen.
I approached hesitant at first, but Macy seemed completely disassociated from everything around her. Made it easier for me to take her down, at least. A kick to the back of the knee, kick to the back of the head, and a few stomps. Fitting, number 10 was one of Dahlia’s lackeys.
I grabbed the saw pipe off the ground, leaving the extinguisher behind. It had served me well, but it was the least effective thing I had at this point. I peeked into a nearby classroom, and was greeted with a faceful of liquid. Smelled like bleach, burned like hell in my eyes. Whoever was in there, they were smart. Somewhat at least, because while I was blinded, they charged me without much thought. Unfortunately for them, I was in the middle of a swing with the saw pipe when they came at me, and it tore through their throat without much trouble. Honestly, they might’ve gotten me if they had waited a second or two more.
I stumbled into the classroom and washed my eyes out with some water from the sink in the back of the class. Bleary eyed, I turned around to a thankfully empty room. Shame I didn’t get to send 11 off with a bit more flair, but oh well. They were smarter than most, so good on them.
I went back to the hall and kept moving down the hall. I looked up to a clock in the corner to see 8:50 displayed. Looks like I wouldn’t have much time to add to my tally. Luckily, I also saw a small figure running towards me in the reflection of the clock. I turned to see none other than Faith, previously my biggest competitor. She held a small prybar, and as she swung at my neck, I ducked and charged her, nailing her with my shoulder and driving her back into the lockers.
She dropped the prybar, and I went to grab her hair like I did 9, but apparently she decided the shaved look went well on her. So, plan B. I dropped the pipe saw and grabbed her ears, one with each hand, and spun her in a circle, ending with her head on the ground. I grabbed her prybar and started swinging. I lost track of how many times I hit her, I stopped counting when the numbers started getting big.
An even dozen. Not bad. I stood up and looked down at the mess I made, and try as hard as I can, couldn’t remember her name. Only the number 12. Whatever. Plenty of time to worry about that later. I checked the clock again, 8:53. 7 minutes to go. I turned the corner and saw the gym entrance again. I also saw Dahlia standing over a kneeling man who was begging for his life. She shook her head and kicked him over, and drove the saw into his chest. He barely even had time to scream.
Wish I had been able to get my hands on tools like that. Once she finished up with him, she turned and saw me.
“How many do you have?”
“12.”
She looked back down the hallway. “Shit.”
I turned, but didn’t see anything. I turned again, and she was running at me, battery powered saw whirring. I threw my spear, but she ducked, and it flew over her head, clattering to the floor. Next I threw the saw pipe, but she easily dodged that too. I drew my knife and paper cutter and stood my ground. As she reached me, she swung the saw horizontally, and I backed up enough that it didn’t connect. I swung the paper cutter and missed, but landed a shallow stab with the knife in my other hand. She swore and backed up too, both of us out of range of the other.
“You know, 13, this would play out way cooler if it was all fake and on a set.”
She looked at me quizzically, not quite getting it.
“But this shit’s real life, not fantasy.”
I tossed the knife in the air, caught it by the blade, and chucked it through the air. 13’s eyes widened when she realized what was happening, but she moved too slow to dodge it, and the blade sunk into her stomach. She dropped the saw and fell to her knees. I walked the distance between us and looked down at her. Jeez, I thought the hate in the other lady’s eyes was bad.
“I really hate you, Lucas.”
I grabbed the saw and pushed it about a foot away. I grabbed 13’s hair, and pushed her face down into the spinning blade. She didn’t have time to scream, which was nice, all the screaming was starting to make my head hurt.
As I let go of the bloodied clump of hair, the school bell rang. I heard a door open down the hall, and the MC stepped out, walking briskly towards me, flanked by two men in black tactical gear.
“Well, Lucas, I must say, you certainly surpassed our expectations. A grand total of 13, which was only rivaled by Dahlia’s 11. Quite impressive. My men are hunting down those few that escaped your wrath, and after that, we can get you cleaned up and on your way. I’m sure you have lots of questions, and we can answer some. But for now, follow me please. Oh, and drop whatever other weapons you might be carrying.”
I let the paper cutter fall to the floor and followed the man into the school office. It had been turned into a makeshift command center, and sitting behind a row of computers, was another man. As many of you readers suspected, he was indeed the man who hadn’t left his house in five years. He is not the friend of mine who deleted everything about himself, though. Different people.
“Ah, Lucas. Nice to see someone who wasn’t a total scumbag won.”
I just stared as he stood up and took his place besides the MC and his guards.
“I’m sure you remember the incident at graduation? That so many of our peers found so hilarious? Well, I don’t think they’re laughing now.”
A few gunshots rang out from somewhere in the depths of the school. The man in charge chuckled.
“Pay that no mind. Anyway. The anxiety from that incident left me with a crippling fear of going outside. God forbid I ran into anyone who saw what happened. My parents got sick of me slouching around, and threatened to throw me out. But thankfully, I had been working on some software that enabled leeching off of blockchains. I’m sure you’re aware of how popular cryptocurrency is? Well, the short version is that my software lets you take a few decimals off of each transaction. Not enough to be significant for one or two, but once you infect a large enough number of bitcoin mines? You’re raking in thousands a day. And some less than savory people were willing to give a pretty penny for that software. Enough for me to fund this wonderful little get together tonight.”
He walked directly to me and shook my hand. “But I know you’re better than the people you killed tonight, and as such, you’ll be rewarded. I’ll be giving you my phone number after everything is cleaned up. Shoot me a text, and I’ll be able to provide you with just about whatever you want. And just let me know if you’re wanting to take part in anything like this to satisfy some more… dangerous tastes.”
He laughed and turned to leave the office.
“Oh, and just so you know, I think I’ll be around for a while. Being in charge of stuff is exhilarating. Me and my associate, the one you call the MC, we’ll be around the area for quite some time. And for the record, he calls himself the Dapper Man. He’s quite insistent.”
And with that, he left me in the office, alone with the guards and the Dapper Man.
After that? Not much happened. I didn’t try and kill the people who set this up. Even if I had my weapons, they had automatic rifles. I might be a little unhinged by now, but not stupid. I was able to pay off my student debt, and move into a nice cottage in the woods. Every once in a while, the Dapper Man stops by. He never says anything to me, he just stands outside for a few minutes, then leaves. I’m not sure I’ll ever be rid of him.

shittykickstarters kicks a blockchain MMO developer to the curb

(ugh, the guy deleted his posts right as i was making the thread..)
developer warns he is a pioneer like bitcoin
We are doing things no other studio has done and we hope one day when blockchain games explode they will look at us for taking the risk and setting the standard for all other blockchain games.
Bitcoin was mocked and laughed at in 2007. Now everyone regrets not buying thousands of Bitcoins.
in the end i don't doubt he has invested thousands of dollars of his own money, but the blockchain aspect really puts this in a different light from a "i'm a passionate developer!" to "i genuinely am deluded enough to think i am going to earn a LOT of money of this scheme"
game developer admits that his business model is going to be flipping unity assets, manages to realize how a 200 million dollar project is having a hard time developing an MMO (star citizen) but doesn't see it as a challenge
A small indie team can pump out a MMO in less than a year. When we launch I am happy to send you a free access. Feel free to do actual research, check out our community and come back to me when you have actual questions or feedback
We are built on Unity. You should google it and learn more about it before making assumptions. Or go play Star Citizen who has taken over 200 Million and has been a compete disaster.
We are doing things no other game has done. Of course there will be haters and we are happy to squash them!
Our team consist now 2 developers with a combined experience of over 30 years [editors note: people still don't know what this guy means by 30 years in the gaming industry, they think he just means that they've been playing games for 30 years lol] in the gaming industry. Massive experience with Unity and multiple games launched. Before you talk about our game do your research.
and our 2 marketers are recently retired from the Navy and excited to launch something we been talking about for years!
candre23 calls out the fishy kickstarter backer numbers, and other social media foolery
So the game is obviously fishy as hell, and can't be good. You can't make an mmo in a year with a full team, a few dudes aren't going to pull it off.
Now the crazy amount of supporting comments in that thread SO SOON after it was posted is fishy. Especially since near all of the commenters have near 0 activity and the only activity they have is a couple comments on weird Bitcoin subreddits.
So is it just an overestimated project? Maybe
Or is it scam trying to get the attention of people who throw money at buzzwords and blockchains? Also maybe.
Or maybe it's just an attempt at scamming with a bunch of fake accounts thrown in?

game developer admits to violating reddit TOS by sending out the link to the reddit thread in telegram, although it does also still seem likely that they're just his sock accounts:
If I may let me address a few solid points here.... Please read if you have the time :)
Anything with "blockchain" in the pitch is a scam 99 times out of 100. And that one time it isn't an actual scam, it fails anyway, but at least it fails honestly.
This is so true! But we are not selling a token or coin. We are just built on ENJIN technology. That's it. we are doing something no one has ever done before....
There are an awful lot of positive comments in that thread from users with almost no karma. Like 80% of the comments are from single-digit-karma accounts. It's incredibly unlikely that everybody who thinks this game is the best thing since sliced bread just happens to be a hardcore lurker.
lol.. This is my fault actually. We have 1300 people in our Telegram channel and most of these people are people looking for airdrops. So I offered a airdrop to those who comment on the post. Of course everyone will want to do this. So yes, most people are new and with low or no karma or even created today.
Also we ran a massive giveaway giving away over $13,000 in blockchain assets. When we did this we had massive social media sharing, posting and commenting. That has caused us to inflate our subcriptions and likes and that is why it looks a little strange. We ran a giveaway.
The ratio of low-dollar backers to high-dollar backers is bonkers. They've only got a handful of people at the reasonable $65-and-under backer levels, but they've sold out at the $1000+ levels. They have less than 150 backers total, but 24 of them have pledged more than a grand for a free-to-play game. If that doesn't scream "money laundering scheme", I don't know what does.
We do have a HUGE high tier backers because the things we are offering are sold for hundreds of dollars on our website already. The people backing it see huge potential in the game and the same backers are the one who have already played and LOVED our game... They want to back us because they see the potential. I can't stop this from happening.. How is this a bad thing?
I do appreciate your points as they are solid and good questions to ask! I employ you to check out our telegram channel and see the community that we have. it's a strong and passionate community and something we are blessed with. We worked really hard to get where we are at and so far we have reached some incredible milestones no one has ever done before.
game dev gives out assets that aren't actually worth anything, wow so generous, he even proposes a challenge:
Im the worst because I am building something no one has ever done before. Go find a game like ours. I swear I will pay you $300!! Take my challenge please. No other game out there is like ours. Of course we are gonna bring haters like you in the woodwork, you get scared if this isn't another traditional game.
Mining is optional and not forced on anyone. It's just to avoid being charged a sub fee and our COMMUNITY have asked for this and LOVE the idea. I don't care if you don't like it or think it's a bad idea... You aren't in our community nor do you back us. Why should it matter what you think?
Our community is heavily involved in our progress and future features.
Did you know we recently gave away over $50k in assets to only 300 players who played the game so far?
Why don't you actually play our game and learn more about it instead of trashing us?
Those 300 people who have played our game love it. You think we can have the community support like we do if they hate our game? lol, your logic makes no sense..
Take my challenge. $300 dollars to find a game like ours! Kickstarter is based on a unique idea right? Why don't we deserve a kickstarter campaign that brings a unique product to the industry?

Transcript of discussion between an ASIC designer and several proof-of-work designers from #monero-pow channel on Freenode this morning

[08:07:01] lukminer contains precompiled cn/r math sequences for some blocks: https://lukminer.org/2019/03/09/oh-kay-v4r-here-we-come/
[08:07:11] try that with RandomX :P
[08:09:00] tevador: are you ready for some RandomX feedback? it looks like the CNv4 is slowly stabilizing, hashrate comes down...
[08:09:07] how does it even make sense to precompile it?
[08:09:14] mine 1% faster for 2 minutes?
[08:09:35] naturally we think the entire asic-resistance strategy is doomed to fail :) but that's a high-level thing, who knows. people may think it's great.
[08:09:49] about RandomX: looks like the cache size was chosen to make it GPU-hard
[08:09:56] looking forward to more docs
[08:11:38] after initial skimming, I would think it's possible to make a 10x asic for RandomX. But at least for us, we will only make an ASIC if there is not a total ASIC hostility there in the first place. That's better for the secret miners then.
[08:13:12] What I propose is this: we are working on an Ethash ASIC right now, and once we have that working, we would invite tevador or whoever wants to come to HK/Shenzhen and we walk you guys through how we would make a RandomX ASIC. You can then process this input in any way you like. Something like that.
[08:13:49] unless asics (or other accelerators) re-emerge on XMR faster than expected, it looks like there is a little bit of time before RandomX rollout
[08:14:22] 10x in what measure? $/hash or watt/hash?
[08:14:46] watt/hash
[08:15:19] so you can make 10 times more efficient double precisio FPU?
[08:16:02] like I said let's try to be productive. You are having me here, let's work together!
[08:16:15] continue with RandomX, publish more docs. that's always helpful.
[08:16:37] I'm trying to understand how it's possible at all. Why AMD/Intel are so inefficient at running FP calculations?
[08:18:05] midipoet ([email protected]/web/irccloud.com/x-vszshqqxwybvtsjm) has joined #monero-pow
[08:18:17] hardware development works the other way round. We start with 1) math then 2) optimization priority 3) hw/sw boundary 4) IP selection 5) physical implementation
[08:22:32] This still doesn't explain at which point you get 10x
[08:23:07] Weren't you the ones claiming "We can accelerate ProgPoW by a factor of 3x to 8x." ? I find it hard to believe too.
[08:30:20] sure
[08:30:26] so my idea: first we finish our current chip
[08:30:35] from simulation to silicon :)
[08:30:40] we love this stuff... we do it anyway
[08:30:59] now we have a communication channel, and we don't call each other names immediately anymore: big progress!
[08:31:06] you know, we russians have a saying "it was smooth on paper, but they forgot about ravines"
[08:31:12] So I need a bit more details
[08:31:16] ha ha. good!
[08:31:31] that's why I want to avoid to just make claims
[08:31:34] let's work
[08:31:40] RandomX comes in Sep/Oct, right?
[08:31:45] Maybe
[08:32:20] We need to audit it first
[08:32:31] ok
[08:32:59] we don't make chips to prove sw devs that their assumptions about hardware are wrong. especially not if these guys then promptly hardfork and move to the next wrong assumption :)
[08:33:10] from the outside, this only means that hw & sw are devaluing each other
[08:33:24] neither of us should do this
[08:33:47] we are making chips that can hopefully accelerate more crypto ops in the future
[08:33:52] signing, verifying, proving, etc.
[08:34:02] PoW is just a feature like others
[08:34:18] sech1: is it easy for you to come to Hong Kong? (visa-wise)
[08:34:20] or difficult?
[08:34:33] or are you there sometimes?
[08:34:41] It's kind of far away
[08:35:13] we are looking forward to more RandomX docs. that's the first step.
[08:35:31] I want to avoid that we have some meme "Linzhi says they can accelerate XYZ by factor x" .... "ha ha ha"
[08:35:37] right? we don't want that :)
[08:35:39] doc is almost finished
[08:35:40] What docs do you need? It's described pretty good
[08:35:41] so I better say nothing now
[08:35:50] we focus on our Ethash chip
[08:36:05] then based on that, we are happy to walk interested people through the design and what else it can do
[08:36:22] that's a better approach from my view than making claims that are laughed away (rightfully so, because no silicon...)
[08:36:37] ethash ASIC is basically a glorified memory controller
[08:36:39] sech1: tevador said something more is coming (he just did it again)
[08:37:03] yes, some parts of RandomX are not described well
[08:37:10] like dataset access logic
[08:37:37] RandomX looks like progpow for CPU
[08:37:54] yes
[08:38:03] it is designed to reflect CPU
[08:38:34] so any ASIC for it = CPU in essence
[08:39:04] of course there are still some things in regular CPU that can be thrown away for RandomX
[08:40:20] uncore parts are not used, but those will use very little power
[08:40:37] except for memory controller
[08:41:09] I'm just surprised sometimes, ok? let me ask: have you designed or taped out an asic before? isn't it risky to make assumptions about things that are largely unknown?
[08:41:23] I would worry
[08:41:31] that I get something wrong...
[08:41:44] but I also worry like crazy that CNv4 will blow up, where you guys seem to be relaxed
[08:42:06] I didn't want to bring up anything RandomX because CNv4 is such a nailbiter... :)
[08:42:15] how do you guys know you don't have asics in a week or two?
[08:42:38] we don't have experience with ASIC design, but RandomX is simply designed to exactly fit CPU capabilities, which is the best you can do anyways
[08:43:09] similar as ProgPoW did with GPUs
[08:43:14] some people say they want to do asic-resistance only until the vast majority of coins has been issued
[08:43:21] that's at least reasonable
[08:43:43] yeah but progpow totally will not work as advertised :)
[08:44:08] yeah, I've seen that comment about progpow a few times already
[08:44:11] which is no surprise if you know it's just a random sales story to sell a few more GPUs
[08:44:13] RandomX is not permanent, we are expecting to switch to ASIC friendly in a few years if possible
[08:44:18] yes
[08:44:21] that makes sense
[08:44:40] linzhi-sonia: how so? will it break or will it be asic-able with decent performance gains?
[08:44:41] are you happy with CNv4 so far?
[08:45:10] ah, long story. progpow is a masterpiece of deception, let's not get into it here.
[08:45:21] if you know chip marketing it makes more sense
[08:45:24] linzhi-sonia: So far? lol! a bit early to tell, don't you think?
[08:45:35] the diff is coming down
[08:45:41] first few hours looked scary
[08:45:43] I remain skeptical: I only see ASICs being reasonable if they are already as ubiquitous as smartphones
[08:45:46] yes, so far so good
[08:46:01] we kbew the diff would not come down ubtil affter block 75
[08:46:10] yes
[08:46:22] but first few hours it looks like only 5% hashrate left
[08:46:27] looked
[08:46:29] now it's better
[08:46:51] the next worry is: when will "unexplainable" hashrate come back?
[08:47:00] you hope 2-3 months? more?
[08:47:05] so give it another couple of days. will probably overshoot to the downside, and then rise a bit as miners get updated and return
[08:47:22] 3 months minimum turnaround, yes
[08:47:28] nah
[08:47:36] don't underestimate asicmakers :)
[08:47:54] you guys don't get #1 priority on chip fabs
[08:47:56] 3 months = 90 days. do you know what is happening in those 90 days exactly? I'm pretty sure you don't. same thing as before.
[08:48:13] we don't do any secret chips btw
[08:48:21] 3 months assumes they had a complete design ready to go, and added the last minute change in 1 day
[08:48:24] do you know who is behind the hashrate that is now bricked?
[08:48:27] innosilicon?
[08:48:34] hyc: no no, and no. :)
[08:48:44] hyc: have you designed or taped out a chip before?
[08:48:51] yes, many years ago
[08:49:10] then you should know that 90 days is not a fixed number
[08:49:35] sure, but like I said, other makers have greater demand
[08:49:35] especially not if you can prepare, if you just have to modify something, or you have more programmability in the chip than some people assume
[08:50:07] we are chipmakers, we would never dare to do what you guys are doing with CNv4 :) but maybe that just means you are cooler!
[08:50:07] and yes, programmability makes some aspect of turnaround easier
[08:50:10] all fine
[08:50:10] I hope it works!
[08:50:28] do you know who is behind the hashrate that is now bricked?
[08:50:29] inno?
[08:50:41] we suspect so, but have no evidence
[08:50:44] maybe we can try to find them, but we cannot spend too much time on this
[08:50:53] it's probably not so much of a secret
[08:51:01] why should it be, right?
[08:51:10] devs want this cat-and-mouse game? devs get it...
[08:51:35] there was one leak saying it's innosilicon
[08:51:36] so you think 3 months, ok
[08:51:43] inno is cool
[08:51:46] good team
[08:51:49] IP design house
[08:51:54] in Wuhan
[08:52:06] they send their people to conferences with fake biz cards :)
[08:52:19] pretending to be other companies?
[08:52:26] sure
[08:52:28] ha ha
[08:52:39] so when we see them, we look at whatever card they carry and laugh :)
[08:52:52] they are perfectly suited for secret mining games
[08:52:59] they made at most $6 million in 2 months of mining, so I wonder if it was worth it
[08:53:10] yeah. no way to know
[08:53:15] but it's good that you calculate!
[08:53:24] this is all about cost/benefit
[08:53:25] then you also understand - imagine the value of XMR goes up 5x, 10x
[08:53:34] that whole "asic resistance" thing will come down like a house of cards
[08:53:41] I would imagine they sell immediately
[08:53:53] the investor may fully understand the risk
[08:53:57] the buyer
[08:54:13] it's not healthy, but that's another discussion
[08:54:23] so mid-June
[08:54:27] let's see
[08:54:49] I would be susprised if CNv4 ASICs show up at all
[08:54:56] surprised*
[08:54:56] why?
[08:55:05] is only an economic question
[08:55:12] yeah should be interesting. FPGAs will be near their limits as well
[08:55:16] unless XMR goes up a lot
[08:55:19] no, not *only*. it's also a technology question
[08:55:44] you believe CNv4 is "asic resistant"? which feature?
[08:55:53] it's not
[08:55:59] cnv4 = Rabdomx ?
[08:56:03] no
[08:56:07] cnv4=cryptinight/r
[08:56:11] ah
[08:56:18] CNv4 is the one we have now, I think
[08:56:21] since yesterday
[08:56:30] it's plenty enough resistant for current XMR price
[08:56:45] that may be, yes!
[08:56:55] I look at daily payouts. XMR = ca. 100k USD / day
[08:57:03] it can hold until October, but it's not asic resistant
[08:57:23] well, last 24h only 22,442 USD :)
[08:57:32] I think 80 h/s per watt ASICs are possible for CNv4
[08:57:38] linzhi-sonia where do you produce your chips? TSMC?
[08:57:44] I'm cruious how you would expect to build a randomX ASIC that outperforms ARM cores for efficiency, or Intel cores for raw speed
[08:57:48] curious
[08:58:01] yes, tsmc
[08:58:21] Our team did the world's first bitcoin asic, Avalon
[08:58:25] and upcoming 2nd gen Ryzens (64-core EPYC) will be a blast at RandomX
[08:58:28] designed and manufactured
[08:58:53] still being marketed?
[08:59:03] linzhi-sonia: do you understand what xmr wants to achieve, community-wise?
[08:59:14] Avalon? as part of Canaan Creative, yes I think so.
[08:59:25] there's not much interesting oing on in SHA256
[08:59:29] Inge-: I would think so, but please speak
[08:59:32] hyc: yes
[09:00:28] linzhi-sonia: i am curious to hear your thoughts. I am fairly new to this space myself...
[09:00:51] oh
[09:00:56] we are grandpas, and grandmas
[09:01:36] yet I have no problem understanding why ASICS are currently reviled.
[09:01:48] xmr's main differentiators to, let's say btc, are anonymity and fungibility
[09:01:58] I find the client terribly slow btw
[09:02:21] and I think the asic-forking since last may is wrong, doesn't create value and doesn't help with the project objectives
[09:02:25] which "the client" ?
[09:02:52] Monero GUI client maybe
[09:03:12] MacOS, yes
[09:03:28] What exactly is slow?
[09:03:30] linzhi-sonia: I run my own node, and use the CLI and Monerujo. Have not had issues.
[09:03:49] staying in sync
[09:03:49] linzhi-sonia: decentralization is also a key principle
[09:03:56] one that Bitcoin has failed to maintain
[09:04:39] hmm
[09:05:00] looks fairly decentralized to me. decentralization is the result of 3 goals imo: resilient, trustless, permissionless
[09:05:28] don't ask a hardware maker about physical decentralization. that's too ideological. we focus on logical decentralization.
[09:06:11] physical decentralization is important. with bulk of bitnoin mining centered on Chinese hydroelectric dams
[09:06:19] have you thought about including block data in the PoW?
[09:06:41] yes, of course.
[09:07:39] is that already in an algo?
[09:08:10] hyc: about "centered on chinese hydro" - what is your source? the best paper I know is this: https://coinshares.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Mining-Whitepaper-Final.pdf
[09:09:01] linzhi-sonia: do you mine on your ASICs before you sell them?
[09:09:13] besides testing of course
[09:09:45] that paper puts Chinese btc miners at 60% max
[09:10:05] tevador: I think everybody learned that that is not healthy long-term!
[09:10:16] because it gives the chipmaker a cost advantage over its own customers
[09:10:33] and cost advantage leads to centralization (physical and logical)
[09:10:51] you guys should know who finances progpow and why :)
[09:11:05] but let's not get into this, ha ha. want to keep the channel civilized. right OhGodAGirl ? :)
[09:11:34] tevador: so the answer is no! 100% and definitely no
[09:11:54] that "self-mining" disease was one of the problems we have now with asics, and their bad reputation (rightfully so)
[09:13:08] I plan to write a nice short 2-page paper or so on our chip design process. maybe it's interesting to some people here.
[09:13:15] basically the 5 steps I mentioned before, from math to physical
[09:13:32] linzhi-sonia: the paper you linked puts 48% of bitcoin mining in Sichuan. the total in China is much more than 60%
[09:13:38] need to run it by a few people to fix bugs, will post it here when published
[09:14:06] hyc: ok! I am just sharing the "best" document I know today. it definitely may be wrong and there may be a better one now.
[09:14:18] hyc: if you see some reports, please share
[09:14:51] hey I am really curious about this: where is a PoW algo that puts block data into the PoW?
[09:15:02] the previous paper I read is from here http://hackingdistributed.com/2018/01/15/decentralization-bitcoin-ethereum/
[09:15:38] hyc: you said that already exists? (block data in PoW)
[09:15:45] it would make verification harder
[09:15:49] linzhi-sonia: https://the-eye.eu/public/Books/campdivision.com/PDF/Computers%20General/Privacy/bitcoin/meh/hashimoto.pdf
[09:15:51] but for chips it would be interesting
[09:15:52] we discussed the possibility about a year ago https://www.reddit.com/Monero/comments/8bshrx/what_we_need_to_know_about_proof_of_work_pow/
[09:16:05] oh good links! thanks! need to read...
[09:16:06] I think that paper by dryja was original
[09:17:53] since we have a nice flow - second question I'm very curious about: has anyone thought about in-protocol rewards for other functions?
[09:18:55] we've discussed micropayments for wallets to use remote nodes
[09:18:55] you know there is a lot of work in other coins about STARK provers, zero-knowledge, etc. many of those things very compute intense, or need to be outsourced to a service (zether). For chipmakers, in-protocol rewards create an economic incentive to accelerate those things.
[09:19:50] whenever there is an in-protocol reward, you may get the power of ASICs doing something you actually want to happen
[09:19:52] it would be nice if there was some economic reward for running a fullnode, but no one has come up with much more than that afaik
[09:19:54] instead of fighting them off
[09:20:29] you need to use asics, not fight them. that's an obvious thing to say for an asicmaker...
[09:20:41] in-protocol rewards can be very powerful
[09:20:50] like I said before - unless the ASICs are so useful they're embedded in every smartphone, I dont see them being a positive for decentralization
[09:21:17] if they're a separate product, the average consumer is not going to buy them
[09:21:20] now I was talking about speedup of verifying, signing, proving, etc.
[09:21:23] they won't even know what they are
[09:22:07] if anybody wants to talk about or design in-protocol rewards, please come talk to us
[09:22:08] the average consumer also doesn't use general purpose hardware to secure blockchains either
[09:22:14] not just for PoW, in fact *NOT* for PoW
[09:22:32] it requires sw/hw co-design
[09:23:10] we are in long-term discussions/collaboration over this with Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash. just talk right now.
[09:23:16] this was recently published though suggesting more uptake though I guess https://btcmanager.com/college-students-are-the-second-biggest-miners-of-cryptocurrency/
[09:23:29] I find it pretty hard to believe their numbers
[09:24:03] well
[09:24:09] sorry, original article: https://www.pcmag.com/news/366952/college-kids-are-using-campus-electricity-to-mine-crypto
[09:24:11] just talk, no? rumors
[09:24:18] college students are already more educated than the average consumer
[09:24:29] we are not seeing many such customers anymore
[09:24:30] it's data from cisco monitoring network traffic
[09:24:33] and they're always looking for free money
[09:24:48] of course anyone with "free" electricity is inclined to do it
[09:24:57] but look at the rates, cannot make much money
[09:26:06] Ethereum is a bloated collection of bugs wrapped in a UI. I suppose they need all the help they can get
[09:26:29] Bitcoin Cash ... just another get rich quick scheme
[09:26:38] hmm :)
[09:26:51] I'll give it back to you, ok? ha ha. arrogance comes before the fall...
[09:27:17] maye we should have a little fun with CNv4 mining :)
[09:27:25] ;)
[09:27:38] come on. anyone who has watched their track record... $75M lost in ETH at DAO hack
[09:27:50] every smart contract that comes along is just waiting for another hack
[09:27:58] I just wanted to throw out the "in-protocol reward" thing, maybe someone sees the idea and wants to cowork. maybe not. maybe it's a stupid idea.
[09:29:18] linzhi-sonia: any thoughts on CN-GPU?
[09:29:55] CN-GPU has one positive aspect - it wastes chip area to implement all 18 hash algorithms
[09:30:19] you will always hear roughly the same feedback from me:
[09:30:52] "This algorithm very different, it heavy use floating point operations to hurt FPGAs and general purpose CPUs"
[09:30:56] the problem is, if it's profitable for people to buy ASIC miners and mine, it's always more profitable for the manufacturer to not sell and mine themselves
[09:31:02] "hurt"
[09:31:07] what is the point of this?
[09:31:15] it totally doesn't work
[09:31:24] you are hurting noone, just demonstrating lack of ability to think
[09:31:41] what is better: algo designed for chip, or chip designed for algo?
[09:31:43] fireice does it on daily basis, CN-GPU is a joke
[09:31:53] tevador: that's not really true, especially in a market with such large price fluctuations as cryptocurrency
[09:32:12] it's far less risky to sell miners than mine with them and pray that price doesn't crash for next six months
[09:32:14] I think it's great that crypto has a nice group of asicmakers now, hw & sw will cowork well
[09:32:36] jwinterm yes, that's why they premine them and sell after
[09:32:41] PoW is about being thermodynamically and cryptographically provable
[09:32:45] premining with them is taking on that risk
[09:32:49] not "fork when we think there are asics"
[09:32:51] business is about risk minimization
[09:32:54] that's just fear-driven
[09:33:05] Inge-: that's roughly the feedback
[09:33:24] I'm not saying it hasn't happened, but I think it's not so simple as saying "it always happens"
[09:34:00] jwinterm: it has certainly happened on BTC. and also on XMR.
[09:34:19] ironically, please think about it: these kinds of algos indeed prove the limits of the chips they were designed for. but they don't prove that you cannot implement the same algo differently! cannot!
[09:34:26] Risk minimization is not starting a business at all.
[09:34:34] proof-of-gpu-limit. proof-of-cpu-limit.
[09:34:37] imagine you have a money printing machine, would you sell it?
[09:34:39] proves nothing for an ASIC :)
[09:35:05] linzhi-sonia: thanks. I dont think anyone believes you can't make a more efficient cn-gpu asic than a gpu - but that it would not be orders of magnitude faster...
[09:35:24] ok
[09:35:44] like I say. these algos are, that's really ironic, designed to prove the limitatios of a particular chip in mind of the designer
[09:35:50] exactly the wrong way round :)
[09:36:16] like the cache size in RandomX :)
[09:36:18] beautiful
[09:36:29] someone looked at GPU designs
[09:37:31] linzhi-sonia can you elaborate? Cache size in RandomX was selected to fit CPU cache
[09:37:52] yes
[09:38:03] too large for GPU
[09:38:11] as I said, we are designing the algorithm to exactly fit CPU capabilities, I do not claim an ASIC cannot be more efficient
[09:38:16] ok!
[09:38:29] when will you do the audit?
[09:38:35] will the results be published in a document or so?
[09:38:37] I claim that single-chip ASIC is not viable, though
[09:39:06] you guys are brave, noone disputes that. 3 anti-asic hardforks now!
[09:39:18] 4th one coming
[09:39:31] 3 forks were done not only for this
[09:39:38] they had scheduled updates in the first place
[09:48:10] Monero is the #1 anti-asic fighter
[09:48:25] Monero is #1 for a lot of reasons ;)
[09:48:40] It's the coin with the most hycs.
[09:48:55] mooooo
[09:59:06] sneaky integer overflow, bug squished
[10:38:00] p0nziph0ne ([email protected]/vpn/privateinternetaccess/p0nziph0ne) has joined #monero-pow
[11:10:53] The convo here is wild
[11:12:29] it's like geo-politics at the intersection of software and hardware manufacturing for thermoeconomic value.
[11:13:05] ..and on a Sunday.
[11:15:43] midipoet: hw and sw should work together and stop silly games to devalue each other. to outsiders this is totally not attractive.
[11:16:07] I appreciate the positive energy here to try to listen, learn, understand.
[11:16:10] that's a start
[11:16:48] <-- p0nziph0ne ([email protected]/vpn/privateinternetaccess/p0nziph0ne) has quit (Quit: Leaving)
[11:16:54] we won't do silly mining against xmr "community" wishes, but not because we couldn'd do it, but because it's the wrong direction in the long run, for both sides
[11:18:57] linzhi-sonia: I agree to some extent. Though, in reality, there will always be divergence between social worlds. Not every body has the same vision of the future. Reaching societal consensus on reality tomorrow is not always easy
[11:20:25] absolutely. especially at a time when there is so much profit to be made from divisiveness.
[11:20:37] someone will want to make that profit, for sure
[11:24:32] Yes. Money distorts.
[11:24:47] Or wealth...one of the two
[11:26:35] Too much physical money will distort rays of light passing close to it indeed.

Ok i haven’t thrown away $4 million bucks but just yesterday I was thinking about mining some litecoins when i remembered an old trading account that i used to have with a bitcoin market provider. If the mining power had remained constant since the first Bitcoin was mined, the last coin would have been mined somewhere near October 8th, 2140. Due to the mining power having increased overall over time, as of block 367,500 – assuming mining power remained constant from that block forward – the last BTC will be mined on May 7th, 2140. A British man says he accidentally threw away over $80 million worth of bitcoin. James Howells, an IT worker from Newport, claims to have unintentionally dumped 7,500 bitcoin in mid-2013. He is James Howells, 32, made headlines in 2013 after it emerged he had accidentally thrown away a computer hard drive containing 7,500 bitcoins, worth around $4 million at the time. News is emerging that quick think from cryptocurrency exchanges helped curb the impact of the Twitter hacker's scam. Last week, Twitter was hacked and many top accounts were seemingly offering Bitcoin giveaways.
